Escape From Tarkov

I have a few ideas for the game Tarkov in which I would love to be heard by the developers of the game.

1: Maps

You should add maps for every map, right now there is only a few. On the maps we should be able to make our own legend and symbol for the legend and or make more symbols for the legend.

Also the player should have a slot for a map to be put in where no one can take it but can view the map.

2: Knife Takedowns

The player should be able to knife takedown when on silent walk behind a player, this would grab the opponent/ AI Bot and cut their throat or stab them in the heart. This would be a great idea to take down players and bots without being heard from distance. 

Also another cool idea is to through a knife at a enemy to heavy bleed them and take a lot of damage when they take it out and close the wound dragging a blood line showing where they went.

3: Juggernaut Armour (Best but Worse armour in game)

This armour should be a fully protective gear, protecting all limbs, from neck to feet. The armour should be class 10 with 100 durability, really hard to find and expensive on the flea market at 50 million or so. The armour should have downsides like not being able to wear a helmet to protect head, 40% reduction in the speed of running, heavy and once it takes damage, it is not able to be repaired.

4: Very High Risk, Very High Reward

Airport map

I have created a airport map which I think should be heard of and my ideas that where put into it. This map is to extend the high risk high reward map like Labs is but harder.

 

Front of airport:

Buildings, Parking, Roads, Trees, Power Plant, Scavs, boss Scavs.

Loot for Scavs and PMC’s, Extractions points for Scavs and PMS’s

 

Airport Building:

Needs Ticket to access in and out with turnstiles scanning the ticket, Lots of loot, 2 floors, bus bay parking underneath that ramps out to back of airport, 2nd floor has t passenger boarding bridges into planes except one which goes onto the floor level outside. Airport building and behind it is where really good loot is. There is a car park in front of building and then a bus park underneath the airport main building where many busses are. Lights are on downstairs, 2nd floor lights are off, making a dark scary place.

 

2nd floor Airport Building:

The airport main big building has escalators from bottom floor to 2nd floor, there are gift stores, food courts, clothes stores etc, lots of loot in these areas, including big bags in clothes stores. Lights are off, scavs are inside and has the most loot building in the map on the top floor of airport building.

 

Back of airport:

Lots of loot, weapons, many scavs and a few boss scavs, sniper Scav on top of towers, very risky but high reward, ticket extraction points that takes the ticket to extract instantly unless a plane extract which takes 30 seconds and plane turns on making noise that everyone can hear.

 

Ticket extractions:

Special extractions to those who have tickets, the extractions are one use only and one ticket gets any one of the special extraction points. People can double up and it’s just a race to who uses it first if they want the extraction. Everyone spawns in front of airport building, all types of extractions in front of airport building too. Only special extractions are behind airport building. Special extractions can only be used once there is 30 mins left.

 

Ticket For Airport:

Players can only access inside and behind airport with a ticket which will have an addition special extraction point on it which tells the player 1 special extraction place where the player can extract within the back of the airport.

 

-If the player doesn’t have a ticket then they have to extract somewhere in front of the airport because they can’t access the back of airport or inside airport. 

 

-If a player has a ticket then they will get a extra extraction point which will be in any plane in the back of airport, the normal extraction points are in front of airport which everyone has access too. 

 

Scav Players:

Spawn from 30 mins to 20 mins left, they can’t access behind airport unless they kill someone for a ticket.

 

PMC:

12 Spawn at 1.5 hours/ 90 mins (start time), can use PMC extractions and special extractions if they have ticket, once they scan their ticket on the entrance turnstiles then they can’t use PMC extractions for 20 mins, but they get a extra special extraction which is behind airport. These one are hard to get to because of the many Scav bosses and AI Scavs.

It’s just a quick idea of a ticket not well made though.

These scan airport tickets to allow a player pass through them, the doors open for 2 seconds allowing 1-2 more players coming though them, they could be Scavs or PMC’s that don’t have tickets, but if they want to extract they have to go back out then extract or use a ticket if they have one to extract. Anyone who uses a ticket losses it at the end of the raid but if they don’t use the ticket at all then they keep it for next time or sell it.

5: Quick IdeaS

inventory sorting out: picture file 5


Vaulting: would add realism to the game. when i am carrying a loaded rifle i dont run and jump over short objects, like railings, tree falls, boxes, windows etc.

Manipulate objects:  usable ladders, padlocks that can be shot, and being able to crawl through vehicles, adding the ability to climb up a tank and use the mounted machine guns would be an awesome addition.

Indication of which direction you are taking damage: nothing fancy, i just want to know if someone punches me in the back, i got punched in the back. 

Swimming in water would be a great idea for the game, making loot heavier for 2 mins, getting tired easily after swimming because of weight etc. Too heavy while swimming can drown the player with their loot going down with them. Goggles and swimming gear would be cool addition. Finding treasure maybe in the water.

I definitely agree. At some point there was talks that you could access the traders through a PDA device that you have with you in Hideout. Maybe there would be an electronic map on that, which you can make markings on. 

Its a good idea anyways, paper map or other. Suggested before too.

Its been suggested before, dont remember if it was answered by BSG crew. Anyways, its problematic for a few reasons.

1st is that people would find a way to abuse it, people would drop down from roofs right behind someone, sprint to assasinate etc and play with no weapons at all as it would be viable again to run around with melee only. Melee only is not supposed to be viable in a hostile area with a (proxy) war going on.

2nd is that its not really an easy to balance mechanic if theres no counter. There should at least be a way of countering it or its too powerful. If there would be a way of countering it, it would create quite weird situations and the idea is kinda lost. If no counter, once again, EFT would be filled with hatchlings.

3rd is that its actually quite unrealistic. BSG has actively tried to lessen the amount of people who raid with a hatchet only, they used to be a big problem before FIR mechanic was added and hatchlings set to "cursed" in raids. Operators dont really do silent takedowns in military operations, its more Hollywood stuff than reality. Its way too risky compared to just shooting your enemy. If the situation demands clandestine actions, you need to either use a silencer, drop all your targets quickly with no silencer and book it, or just move on without contact at all. I know that spec ops dudes have killed people with a knife in modern wars. You just need to understand that if it was a mechanic in EFT, it would be way more prominent and common than IRL, which would take away from the immersion of the game. Kinda the same as female operators, they exist, but are fery rare, if implemented in EFT you would see them everywhere which is not realistic.

What you suggest belongs in a casual Call of Duty game. There is no such thing as Juggernaut armor. There are armor possibilities that cover legs and hands too, but not too well as it would make moving impossible. I dont know of any leg/hand armor that covers all the way to every direction and from anything more than shrapnel/maybe soft pistol calibers. What you have seen in COD games is super unrealistic and doesnt exist. There is no armor like that IRL. Period. Some of the armor you see in those games resembles certain EOD armor variants, but that kind of armor is not designed to take bullets not to even talk about full auto bullets or AP bullets. You are also so heavy and slow that you wont be able to move such long distances as you do in EFT, realistically.

If you have noticed, EFT is striving for realism in its combat mechanics. We are still at quite a casual stage as everything is so WIP and mechanics are basically placeholders. In the near future we will get the armor plate mechanics, which means that armor will only cover the area of the plate(some have soft armor too, but its mainly for shrapnel&small calibers and to protect more in combination with the plates). What you suggest would be a step towards the other end = have completely unrealistic armors. So its 100% not gonna happen. The opposite will, armor will be realistically less protective than it is now, as it protects all over the vest now instead of the areas where there are/could be plates.

At some point it was possible to wear both a armor vest and a tactical vest with plates. Think about 6B43 Zabralo under and TacTec on top. It was absolutely ridiculous as you can imagine. It was basically what you wish for and I can tell you, having experienced it, that it was not what EFT is about.

The helmets are ridiculous ATM. They protect WAY too much compared to what is even remotely realistic. You should be happy for that, but I dont think its gonna remain like that. When the armor plates are implemented, the helmets will just simply feel way too protective and will be, Id guesstimate, nerfed.

You didnt think this through. If a military "Rezerv" is broken in to, anything else on top of the ground (so Labs etc bunkers not included) will be broken in to as well. Some airport would not be safe from scavs and PMCs, so the idea that you need a ticket is ridiculous, this place wouldve seen plenty of fighting before the UN peacekeepers and Russian forces arrived on the outskirts of Tarkov. There would be more holes than doorways in this airport, especially if there was a reason to loot it.

We already have Interchange. Lights are of.. have you ever visited an airport? Ive visited maybe 20 and all of them have been full of sky windows and glass pane walls. Ive never seen an airport that would be dark, even if the lights were turned off. Airports are literally the most glassy and open infrastructure buildings Ive seen.

AFAIK confirmed to be in the works, or at least planned.

Ladders are planned, padlocks, maybe but would kinda make the key mechanics obsolete, crawling like that sounds a bit too complicated.

Tank turrets shouldnt have much ammo left in them, if even the MGs, but on the other hand there are placements in Rezerv too so I guess this could happen. The thing is, these MG placements are overlooked by many but they are INCREDIBLY powerful. You should learn how to use them and you will see what I mean. They penetrate most basic building walls etc.

EFT wont have such a big map that this would be feasible. Operators tend to cross waters from places where it can be done without swimming, so that they are not so vulnerable to enemy fire. If its not possible, they might just go around said waters. This is why we dont need no swimming in EFT. There simply isnt as many places where its needed, we dont know of any maps that have such demand either and its very dangerous to do it, so it should be avoided anyways. Having these situations where people swim and try to dive away from enemy bullets sounds like a vision from some more casual game, doesnt sound like sth that would fit EFT. Maybe if EFT had like truly huge maps (akin to Chernarus+ from DayZ), it would be understandable, but not with the maps we have, not with the lore we have. Soldiers dont really swim, unless they are combat divers.

All in all, many if not most of what you suggest have been suggested before. You should use the search bar before posting the next time. I can see you went through effort in doing this suggestion, but I dont think you really know the vision for EFT, as many of these dont really fit in at all. I recommend making suggestions one at a time in the future - this forces you to think them more thoroughly and thus you make better suggestions. Props for going through the effort, I recommend you listen to podcasts and Q&As so you understand what kind of features are on the way and so on.
