Nah, prolly just sound bugs. Those are plenty right now, seems worse than before they introduced steam audio.

The sound is buggy. It has been buggy forever and i expect it to be buggy for atleast a few more years. I think they tried doing something about it after the latest patch, but it just got worse, so they just reversed it to what it was. It could be that they just dont know how to fix it, but in my humble opinion, it's the engines fault.

 

But yeah, old bug.

Since they took out steam audio, it’s been pretty bad for sure. Can’t wait until it gets worked out so the standard game audio becomes decent.

I'm pretty sure that steam audio was added, but broke the sound even more with the last patch. I remember hearing footsteps from people on the other side of the map. So they removed it after just a few hours of it being in the game.
