cleanpop
Hi, I've tried just about every single guide + optimization tweak I could think of with bad results. I will try to enlist them all and they are as follows: Cleared cache's everywhere on Windows 10. Cleared EFT cache. Nvidia Control Panel (Power management = Prefer maximum performance + Vertical Sync OFF). EFT (Use Only Physical Cores = Disabled), because enabled is actually worst for me. BSG Launcher (Close the launcher when the game starts = OFF), because setting it ON actually makes both the game & launcher stutter. Refreshed my Windows 10 install (The apps I have installed now are: winrar + PicPick + HWiNFO + OpenHardwareMonitor + VLC + Mouse Software) I know... you are going to ask what are my computer specifications? My complete build (i7 7700k + 1x1 stick of 16 gig RAM + ROG STRIX GTX 1080 not ti @ 1080p). Moved the ram stick to the appropriate slot for my motherboard (DIMM slot #2) and I'm waiting for my second ram stick to arrive. When it does I will set it on the appropriate slot (DIMM #4). My estimated Power Consumption is around 394 - 400 watts and I have a 500 Watt 80+ bronze EVGA power supply. As an extra measure for the extra ram stick (for slight-moderate FPS boost) I have also ordered a 750 watt Power Supply 80+ platinum. Now what's the issue exactly? Well this: Sensor data. Album: https://imgur.com/a/6qqpii3 OpenHardwareMonitor + HWinfo reports: https://pastebin.com/AZgrTxx4 LOW settings, AI set to impossible + Horde. Album: https://imgur.com/a/TmtVxTt ULTRA settings, AI set to impossible + Horde. Album: https://imgur.com/a/dDpuK66 Settings don't seam to affect my performance at all... okay, maybe a slight performance increase on the lowest setting preset... but to be honest it's pretty much the same. So... what gives? what else can I do? is this just performance optimization that needs to happen for the game? or can you spot something wrong? NewArk23
How are your results in online raids? From my experience offline mode is not optimal for benchmarking, because the ai eats tons of cpu performance. Hopefully the additional 16gig RAM will bring you a nice fps boost. Edit: I looked through your settings and would recommend to try Lod quality: 3 overall visibility: 1000 shadow visibility: 40 HBAO: off the five little boxes on the bottom: everything unchecked, except grass shadows Edited December 18, 2020 by NewArk23
cleanpop
A friend gave me this config: Textures = high Shadow quality = high LOD = 2 Visibility = 400 Shadow visibility = 50 TAA high HBAO = OFF SSR = OFF Anisotropic filtering = per texture Sharpness = 0.6 High Quality Color = ticked ON Full screen mode. I'm now getting above 70-80 FPS everywhere in interchange. I've tried it on 3 online games now and it's still holding up. Hopefully it will continue this way. I'm hopeful... but similar thing has happened before... Good performance that drops to poop. So I'll remain cautious and test it more. If it goes bad I will test your settings. Hyre
Can confirm - offline is certainly different from online. When I play offline Reserve I get around 15-30 fps, which is unplayable and headache inducing. Haven’t checked it online, but then it’s playable, at least. i5 7600k, 2x 8gb at 2133 I think it was, 1070ti.
