Moonlight - dissapearing suddenly

I've just found myself in an incredibly immersive fight in the middle of the night on Customs. It was a very bright night with a lot of moonlight. I was playing as a scav, killed one PMC and looted his gear. After a minute or two to set all the looted goodies up, suddenly all hell broke loose - there were multiple people in the bushes around me, shooting each other with nobody knowing who's who (or at least that's how it seemed to me). After some seconds the last two of us remained, trying to outsmart each other. And then suddenly the moonlight disappeared, the night instantly turning pitch black with nearly nothing to see.  So, in some 5 or 10 seconds the other guy sent me to greener pastures with his shotgun and the last man standing had some big looting to do - he was a scav as well, so if he is reading this - big congrats, together we've neutralized a gang of PMCs and scavs!

Anyway, here's a question - moonlight disappearing suddenly is a bug, no question about it - what I wonder is: Does it happen to everyone simultaneously? If not, it's simply like blinding those who do get this effect.

Not necessarily a bug. Weather and cloud cover will change without notice occasionally. 

**Edit. Felt I should give you more information. I've done a LOT of night raids on woods with and without night vision goggles. The lighting will occasionally change for better or for worse even without a big change in weather such as rain.

Well, this was instantly. Like switching off a light in a room. No transition, not even for a second. I've seen this before, all I want to know is whether this happens to everyone at the same time.

That quick like when You change from day sound to night sound at about 9pm game time? 

Or when it's raining and the sun is still out? 

Or your in the car park of interchange and its raining thro 3 floors of concrete?

As far as I am aware, yes, everyone is affected at the same time. Though depending where you are it may not be as bad. IE customs looking into the office building from some angles it will have great lighting and other angles it's dark.

This happened to me on reserve today. Was decently lit for the first 10 min or so. Then all of a sudden it went to barely able to see the outline of a building instantly. Figured its a bug but i dunno
