paracelsus1981
I´m at Level 7 now and wonder if I always have to start in the West end of the map around the big garage section behind big red. And I always have to go to ZBs 11, 12, 13. Is that all speaking of varrying exfil points?!
Mariner
It’s supposed to be random as far as I know. I can’t help thinking there’s something else going on though, that spawns people in the same place on a regular basis. I almost always spawn in the same place as you on Customs. Occasionally in Big Red, occasionally at the trailer park. Almost never on the other side of the map. I’m wondering if the spawns are allocated in order of when players join the server. My loading times are fairly quick but I always have about 5 minutes of “waiting for players” before the raid actually starts. Perhaps spawns on the garages/trailer park side get allocated first? Could be way off the mark here but constantly spawning in probably the worst spawn in the entire game is definitely annoying.
Checkers
Maps(the item) had a function back in the day. If the map for where you were loading into was in your inventory you could choose either 'Big Red' side or 'Boilers' side. Made key farming, questing (loc specf.) and personal perf. on spawn loc.. This system was dropped as it aided ' no gear' loot runs. Then that was dropped the dev. team just went back to the random spawn with 'new spawn points'. This seems like a band aid that's was already there before the map function, so now there's this used barely stuck on fix to a fundamental part of the game 'spawning in'. Every wipe or update I'm hoping to see a rework to spawn rushing/spawn fights, late spawn, etc. Ideally (IMO), you should spawn with 2(or more) paths before you. One leads to a spawn of scavs and separates you from another PMC spawn. The other path is the 'quite'/'rat' path. It doesn't send you towards another spawn but further into the map. As it is not a noisy, going this way is the longer way around. I highly doubt anything close to this will appear in patch notes sadly. Quick fix - Reduce PMCs on each map so that if you have a full map, spawns can't see each other without even taking a step. I'm talking hard cover too, not this you spawn in and there's a guy 50' down the river bank spawned in a bush. This is a quick and simple fix that should be made. I'm open to other 'better' ideas that keep the PMC pop. up but can keep the immersion of being in dead mans land. Nothing ruins immersion like asking "should I move?, I know there's a spawn down by the water and 2-3 back behind me. Do a keep standing in my 'no cover arbitrary af spawn location'. Like how does someone make the spawns and then not test them, the test hard to do? Doubt it. Take too much time? Ok, do something else with your time, like knitting. This is a fundamental part of the game that has been broken for too long now. The fact this is been an issue without resolve is a bit concerning. FOR THE LAST TIME - FIX SPAWNS, No band aids, No 'changed' spawn point BS, Line of sight, that's it. Open both GD eyes spin 360 shouldn't see another spawn.

You can spawn on either side of any map. Typically u will have an extract that is on the opposite side of the map where u spawned. There are short extracts that are on the map which allow to to extract early onn depending on certain things in game. No you will not always have the same spawn but it sure will feel like it when u play the same map alot. Keep kicking ass and good luck in your raids!! Defiants
To be clear if you spawn on the west you need to extract from the east and if you spawn in the east you need to extract in the west. However if you have the Factory Exit key you can turn the power on in Warehouse 4, then extract in the center of the map. ( ZB-1013 ) This is always accessible regardless of what side of the map you spawn on. I tend to do that frequently, especially if I spawn on the east side of the map as it's easier to turn the power on if you spawn east. Spawns are random, sometimes I get the same one a few times in a row but it is random more or less. There are twenty spawns on custom ten on each side I believe. There's also the Dorms Vehicle extract that costs 7000 ruble to use, It's not always accessible but when it is you can use it regardless of where you spawned. If you spawn on the west there is also Old Gas station which is randomly accessible as an extract ( There will be green smoke marking it as open ) , and the other bunker that's a bit closer than the typical extract but again it's not always active. ( ZB-1012 ) which will be marked with a floodlight being lit on top of it. If you spawn on east side there is the river extract on the north side, the fireplace (Smugglers Boat on community map) -- not always active, look for the lit fire which means it's open. There is also the RUAF roadblock which has a flood light turned on if it's active. https://escapefromtarkov.gamepedia.com/File:CustomsLargeExpansionGloryMonki.png
