Launcher Won't Open At All

This isn't the same type of issue most of this type of forum is about ad this is mainly looking for an idea. So my battlestate launcher won't open, hence the title, but the issue is there is no error, no visual, nothing popping up in task manager at all. The launcher just doesn't do anything. The blue loading circle on the cursor appears for about a second, then stops and nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, opening/running as admin, installing/reinstalling windows stuff, repairing Microsoft visual files, changing drives, resetting router, reinstalling graphic drivers, etc.

Can someone please help me figure out this issue, as I've lost tons of insurance and time to this issue and at this point, I can't play the game at all in the foreseeable future. This started occurring after a computer update as well so could be that, but nothing I have tried has fixed this issue or in any shape or form, shown what the issue is in the first place.

PLEASE HELP ME

  • 8 months later...

I had your identical problem. I was able to get mine working, although I have no idea how or why it worked.

I connected to a VPN. (you can get a free connection with ProtonVPN).

Then clicked the BSG Launcher and it opened. After it opened, it automatically ran an update.

After BSG updated, I closed it. Then disconnected from the VPN and restarted my pc. I went back and clicked on the BSG Launcher and it still worked! (with no VPN connection)

My only guess is the launcher needed that update, but something screwy was going on with my network. The VPN got me connected and got the needed update to run.

Hope it works for you too.

Didn't work for me sadly, it's really pissing me off that the game has been around so long and from my knowledge this is a reoccurring problem, probably going to have to get a refund. been from forum to forum for at least 3 hours.

For future reference for anyone who aims to seek out a refund: It's really easy to get your money back. I would just contact your card issuer/bank. For me it was a credit card company, and I filed a dispute, because I was technically charged before the transaction was actually complete (which was super sketchy). I was credited all of the money I spent on the game (temporarily), while the CC company tried to get a response from BSG (shocking, they did not respond). The temporary credit was just made final the other day, since the CC company waited like 60+ days for a response, and received nothing. So it is well worth your time to skip the BSG support, and go straight to your method of payment and open a case/file a dispute for an unauthorized charge (in my case), or some other valid reason like not receiving the content, or receiving corrupt content (which may be different for others since I had zero time and could barely get the game to work on my computer, plus I was completely sketched by the premature charging of my card before I authorized it). Was contacted by an automatic fraud prevention phone call and text before I even clicked confirm.
