Kemosabe0007
Let’s try not to be dicks. But I am running this on my MACBook pro using bootcamp. I realize this isn’t ideal, but it’s what I got. I could use some help getting this game optimized. it’s a beast of a laptop: 2019, 16in, 2.3 GHz, 8-Core Intel i9, AMD Radeon 5500M, 16 gb of RAM. This is my first PC game ever so I have no idea what I’m doing as far as graphics card and in game settings. So far I can only get like 40 FPS and it drops pretty often. Any help I can get would be awesome. I love Tarkov and am trying to play but the low frames makes it tough to fight. plz help Edited January 18, 2021 by Kemosabe0007
tralfamadorian
I have the same macbook as you. I get 45-60fps. Try low settings with high textures, FXAA antialiasing. Everything else on low or off. The macbook has heating issues which lead to throttling, so some have recommended also enabling the "Use physical cores only" setting and then installing Process Lasso to limit the core usage to 8. Another recommendation for macbooks is to disable TurboBoost on your CPU in order to prevent overheating and throttling. You can do this by installing QuickCPU. You can google instructions for Process Lasso and QuickCPU. Try both with and without Escape From Tarkov keywords as some of the guides I found were Tarkov specific and some not. Good luck!
