jasonchan122497
Please watch this video that made me write this post: "My Rant on Summit1G's Frustrations" on youtube. BSG has made an awesome game, there is no question about it, their skill is unrivaled when it comes to map making, mechanics creating, atmosphere building prowess, EFT's success is a testament to that. But if you look around with an earnest eye, you see that the Devs are contantly spending their time battling issues they don't need to, the vision was to create R.2028, they have established this over and over again, their vision was not a multiplayer game but one that is single player, but they are getting bogged down by fixing multiplayer issues, the net code, cheaters, balancing... It is sucking both resources and motivation from BSG games, and it shouldn't be. And at this point players has already given up on the hope that any of this would be fixed, it is becoming clearer than ever during this wipe. This unnecessary drain of resources has to be threatening BSG's ability to finish the Single-player game that they wanted to make so badly from ever getting released. The DEVs really have 2 choices, to focus on making an amazing multiplayer game and dedicate all their resources to it, which is great; or quickly finish up and create the single-player game they've always talked about, which is great as well, but they've got to choose, because this "Multiplayer to fund Single-player" approach simply creates a mediocre multiplayer game performance that gets the same fate of Contract Wars, and a single-player game that will never be released before resources are drained. Their strength clearly lies with making single-player games, and they are losing focus from the way things are looking. gkcx2002
I have no interest in single player games. I never purchased COD or Battlefield for the single player. It's all about the multiplayer for me. Scripted set pieces, continuous enemy spawns until you reach a certain area and BS AI are not my idea of a good game. Maybe they can make some ground breaking single player game that's interesting but in the end I like to compete against real people not bots. Unfortunately I see BSG reaching a point of diminishing returns with EFT before they complete the game. At some point they are going to be eating into their profits to finish the game and that's when they will pull the plug. Caster89Actual
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves with high praise for BSG in the beginning there, let’s slow our roll there. About the only thing they have made well are things like attention to detail on fire arms and gear. Everything else is has been either average or below average(ya know, like below average server rates seeing as how we’re on that topic of markstroms video) I used to play ALOT of Titanfall and Titanfall 2 right before I built a PC specifically for tarkov and thought the deliberate low server ticks for such a fast pace game was as worse as I was ever going to see. . . . .hhhoooo boy, Respawn actually gets a pass from me now for all the times I’ve gotten dusted hitmarkers on a pilots helmet with a 25mm chain gun. I honestly try and frame my displeasure with how average this game is in more constructive formats so it doesn’t seem like I am just ungrateful or an A hole. But sometimes it needs to be said/discussed that it’s starting to seem like this games whole reason was so Nikita and gun nut coworkers could finger fiddle some high speed firearms and mods. Seeing as how that’s usually the most we see as new content, aside from the odd 1 1/2 map every. . . . .3. . . Ish? Years. The game is a lot more stable than from when I first started playing, so. . . Ya know. . . We got that. i honestly think if the team had to choose, they would drop tarkov for R2028. which I hope isn’t true. Unless R2028 has the same in depth guns and modding I don’t see them fooling me a second time after dropping tarkov. But maybe it’s what we need. Thats what I'm trying to say, some enjoys the multi-player game, but they have to choose to focus on one, right now the multi-player game is getting all sorts of issues whilst the single player game is stuck in quagmire. At this rate BSG would be greatly affected by the indecision of their direction.
Lurch_454
If BSG made a game like this in a single player format, I'd be on it like white on rice. A clear focus for pushing forward from here would do wonders for the devs.
