Tactical options.

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, some thoughts (questions)

As I'm new to this project I tried to find as many info as I could about it and how the gameplay will feel, not being able to read on the Russian section will certainly help to lose a lot of Dev info.

All I know for sure is that the Dev team is aiming for a great attention to detail skill based hardcore game ,so as an ex green berets airborne in reserve I also know that being effective in a mission isn't 100% based on the tools available, but how do you use them.

Meaning that having all those weapons, skills and animations in the game will not make it a tactical one necessary if the game doesn't give you a variety of options on how to use them.  So I have a few questions/suggestions for the Devs.

1:breaching options/equipment.

do we have flashbangs, smoke grenades ant such?

can we breach doors, windows?

can we through them through windows?

can we vault windows, fences, cars and others

2:Verticality.

do we have the option to go up on a rooftop or other vantage points?

maybe breach/through a flashbang from a glass roof, or climb a tree.

rappelling from a cliff, roof, bridge.

3:setting up tripwires, mines.

using claymore stop protect retreat roots or ambush points.

making some simple boobytraps with some tripwire and a grenade, staff like that.

4:camouflage.

is there different types of cammo for our gear? Uniforms, weapon paintings.

can we set camouflage nets over observation points?

5: Maps.

do we have grid maps that we can make notes on them?

can we set waypoints on our teams map?

6: communications.

can we interest, jamm enemy comms?

7:heavy support weapons.

will we have access to RPGs, grenade launchers, mortars?

Things that will give us a variety on how we can engage enemies and approach missions.

Breaching doors is confirmed in the trailer I think.

Weapon camouflages are confirmed.

We can interrupt/jam enemy comms

For all the others we only have speculations, but correct me if not. :)

Thanks, I was half certain about those.

some key aspects in making the gameplay really versatile though is the ability to use ladders, place boobytraps, and vault through windows.

if those are in then we're in for a treat with this game!

The Claymore and tripwire idea excites me. x)

But will they be laser activated or remotely?

I love a lot of these ideas and suggestions, im new to so trying to catch up on the details.. I've started a couple sections asking if we could use bi-pods or just a resting system in the game similar to arma or battlefield. I think that would add a new dynamic to the mix.! Also love tactical shooters so claymore traps and the such would be amazing.. Even if you had to start with a trip wire version and work your skill level to a laser mine version.

Devs should include a proper CQB, or whatever it's called all over the world (MOUT?), tutorial! Huehue

#Just kidding

Jokes aside, I really think that formations and house clearing tactics, checking your corners, firing sectors, etc. will matter.
And personally I would like it to matter, as I'm a huge tactics buff.

I can already see my team of 5 or whatever engaging a tunneling upon contact drill to get out of a narrow hall, alley, or whatever.
Practiced those drills in real life, and it's awesome as poo (if you don't have to do it in rain, for 8 hours continuously).

From all the Gameplay I am surprised by the resource management. It's what I want from a survival shooter. As for the most part, I've been wondering if there would be Mines or anti-personnel devices like a Claymore because some areas where the Gameplays show is good places to set up a trap or prepare for engagement if you are clearing a room or scavenging for loot. Cause it's a rush to see that in videos where the player is searching for loot and all of a sudden you hear the footsteps of either AI or players and you want to have as much time to prepare for them if you use a Mine of some kind to slow them down
