how does it make sense thast i can spawn as a scav, lets say on shoreline at the 45 minute mark... when i cant even make it to extraction before i die from a lack of food or water?

at least as a pmc i can bring water and food into the raid but if my extraction is all of the way across the map (as it should be) and i cant even make it in a normal run without food and/or water? im not excessively slow and yet without food and/or water its sometimes a certified death sentence just trying to run across the map to exfil?

this is a survival game, so yeah you should find whatever you need. actually it would be cool if you spawned with some sort of injury as a player scav to make it more challenging

im not trying to just spawn and then rush the extract, i am also trying to do some looting and fighting before i run to extract... there is literally no point to spawn as a scav and run immediately to exfil as a scav because there is 0 point to do so.

to respond to the user above you, if its your definition of "fun" to spawn injured as a player scav than it should be just as "fun" to spawn with a random injury as a pmc as well

I have never run out of food and water as a scav even after loads of looting.  I have no idea what you are doing but camping in a bush lying prone tends to use up more food and water than moving around.  If you are looting you should find easily enough to get out

as a pmc, you are a soldier going inside a raid for doing a specific mission so as you get gear for that raid, you are preparing yourself for that mission. so for sure you will be at full hp and full stomach.

but in the other hand as a scav, actually you don't know him at all and you spawn as a scavenger who is roaming around and who knows with which condition or gear or items in his pocket.

btw i didnt say it will be fun, said will be challenging.

Never ever ran out of food whilst playing as a scav. Guess you're doin somethin wrong mate.

Go and test out some +/- safe loot routes for yourself and you wont have and problems.

Best example on shoreline, there are so many stashes, not even needed to go to pvp spots for loot... But if y wanna fight then go to resort

so the Consensus is that its perfectly reasonable to die from hunger after a half hour?

if you were a half hour away from starvation you all would choose to loot a highly dangerous area...instead of actually eating?

its a harcore "realistic" shooter afterall so i guess the only way to beat he game is to just not play?

you all can come up with all of the justifications explaining how im not playing the game correctly but its not like i started playing yesterday.

maybe certain game mechanics might need refining?

ofc. thats not the answer, im the one whos playing the game wrong?

The scav levels up too. If you eat and drink, what you find, which is enough to get fat, your higher metabolism skill will prevent you from starving.

thats actually a reasonable explanation. thank you for the answer and i do mean that, it does make scav "stats" make sense.

i really do mean that
