kanariewietje
So here we go again... What is the deal with superscavs and their 7mm buckshot pellets?? I seriously have no clue what is happening with the programming of these scavs. Scavs with .366 ap, 7.62PS and 5.49 PS i can handle. Sure once in a while you die because of a lucky shot. But never EVER have i died faster (and in an unreasonable way) to any other scav than those armed with shotguns equipped with 7MM buckshot. Their accuracy is beyond retarded, not only are they able to identify in a single millisecond what type of armour you are wearing, but in the same span of time they autolock to one's head and before you (i) are able to react you are finding yourself in the post death screen beggin therapist to remove those ridiculous 7mm pellets from your face. Just now on customs i died once again to vladimir schwarzenegger, i was standing on the train tracks (near the blue container stash) and a scav magically one taps my face about 70 yards away from me (the scav was at blue shipping container near the gas station). So anyone else care to share his/her 7mm horror story?
Bankoletti
I believe the issue is related simply to game mechanics. The dispersion of pellets means that there is a considerable probability of you catching a single pellet to your forehead (which will kill you via headshot), despite a Scav aiming slightly off - which would mean every other weapon apart from gunshot would miss.
Naqel
Solutions to this problem: -Use face protection: even the cheap Rating 1 mask will save your life, to say nothing of a helmet with a proper visor. -Engage them from far enough away that the pellets are no longer lethal (>50m) -Engage them from close enough that their targeted area no longer covers your entire body (<10m) Edited February 12, 2021 by Naqel
paracelsus1981
How I wish I would come across those players who have trouble with Ai Scavs. No, it´s always the super 360 noscope chads.😔

So on one hand i, can take the Kolpac or Djeta - Wich means no comtacts, wich mean severe disadvantage in hearing other players. On the other hand i could go for a TC800 or a LsZhm with a faceshield ranging from 150-300k, that way i can purchase a comtac. Seems reasonable and neccesary this late in the wipe. And fyi 70 yards is 64M, i was using retard imperial measurement numbers. Anyways i get both your points, one of you is saying: Spend more time into this game so you can get better gear in order to survive terminator scavs. And the other is complaining how he wishes he had to face more casual players like me instead of the guys that spend 40+ hours on this game a week. Both arguments all conclude to the same thing: This game is nothing for me.

Kolpak is an excellent pick for engaging just scavs Scavs and with only a few more Rubles you can upgrade to Kiver+Visor, which makes your head almost immune to spread shots and most pistol calibers. If you expect to face players it is definitely worth the money to have a helmet with face protection that retains headset compatibility. There are also scenarios where hearing is not a vital component of identifying where an enemy might attack from, usually at extreme ranges (both short and far) where headsets become redundant/useless. Those situations can easily be forced on the enemy by staying indoors on maps that allow it or avoiding high traffic areas on the more open maps. Giving up on the game because you fail to learn how it works is not the best way you could approach the situation, but you are of course free to do so.
