Disconnect Problem

I'm having near constant server disconnect problems on one of the computers in my house.  Both computers are connected to the same hub via Cat6 ethernet cables, and the problem computer does not experience any other network connectivity issues.  We've tried both auto select and specific servers and always play as a group.  The one computer will disconnect from raid (with the Server Connection Lost message) every 2-3 minutes, while the other one rarely disconnects.

We have tried integrity checks and clearing cache several times with no luck. I've tried to google this but the sheer volume of various disconnect issues has made it hard to single out this specific situation to know find possible solutions.  The connection itself is cable internet.  Comcast is the ISP, 200 Mb down 6 Mb up.  We average less than 50ms ping to all of the servers we've selected.

Is there a known issue when two or more people try to play off of the same connection, and if so is there a workaround?

Thanks for the reply.  We don't have any 3rd party AV installed - just using Windows Defender, and I wouldn't want to turn that off for anything longer than a short test period anyway.  We've tried 1 and 3 above, along with:

  • replacing the ethernet cable
  • switching to a different port on the hub
  • trying just playing on the problem PC without playing on another PC at the same time
  • ipconfig /release and /renew
  • ipconfig /flushdns

We still get disconnects constantly, with the maximum of 5 minutes or so in a raid at any time.  Average is more like 60 seconds or less.  Right this minute she's getting disconnected within 30 seconds of getting into raid, reconnects and then another 30 seconds and she's DC'd again.

Are there client side log files I can look at to help troubleshoot? I think we've ruled out all of the hardware in the chain except for her on-board NIC and all of the software (except Windows Defender which I know isn't inherently a problem).
