For the love of god, please do something about the hackers.

I know this issue is addressed in this forum over and over again. Maybe if enough of us say something Battlestate Games will implement some sort of cheat detecting program such as Battleeye or Punk Buster. Both of which are pretty outdated, but they do work.

I think it is just BE

before they got BE they used a home made in house anti cheat that. . . . Well. . . You can see how well made EFT is so you can imagine how well that anti cheat worked.

i give them kudos for swallowing their pride and dropping that in house trash can and went with BE.

Also hacker accounts makes up such a huge part of their income I doubt they will take cheaters seriously until they are ready to move onto a new project.

There are no micro transactions thus cheaters are profitable for BSG, they bring regular income. The devs don't ban the cheaters immediately because cheaters sell in game items for real money, if they banned the cheaters immediately, the cheaters wouldn't have time to make profit by selling in game items for real money, and it would be pointless for them to re-buy a tarkov account to repeat.

BSG lets cheaters cheat for around a few days to a week, and then they get banned, but by that time, the cheaters usually make a decent amount of money RMT'ing, so they rebuy an account, maybe even an EOD account.

This is not a 'conspiracy theory', cheaters themselves say that they do not get banned immediately, when in other games they would get banned straight away using the cheats they use on tarkov.

Pretty disgusting of the, isn’t it?

to bad the company is not based in China where they have actual laws against cheaters.

Game is in beta so I understand it. It's more income for them so I think it's okay. I just hope they implement a stronger system when they fully release the game.

If theres anything even remotely suspicious its always a cheater. I may not have played all the popular fps games but tarkov is the most cheated game ive ever encountered judging by the ammount of bans happening and despite those theres still people speedhacking and walking through walls that i encounter.

BSG already has pretty good anti cheat measures. Those are being updated and new methods are being tested very frequently. what is most important to understand that most of the cheaters are cheating to make an IRL profit out of it. They do this by selling carries and/or items. Doing this makes them more money than they lose on the cheat subscription. and their accounts being banned. And so they will keep doing it so a person will just keep buying new accounts to cheat on and further make profit, As long as there is an undetected cheating program for them to use.

Now sadly a war against cheaters is the most taxing and difficult thing developers face. Cheaters are always 1 step ahead. And developers are always catching up to them. You cannot expect cheaters to fully go away in ANY Competitive PvP game. but i think BSG has done a great job battling them so far.

Uhh what? All they have is BE and their security is atrocious. BE can only do so much. BE is essentially a fancy lock or an added layer of protection. The door that its attached too needs to be secure as well. There are a poo ton of problems with this game that I will go through below.

Currently packet encryption isn't 100% functional. At the moment some raids seem to have them and some don't. Which allows radar user to go undetected most of the time. What makes it worst is since this game is client authoritative they can essentially use all packets the client receives to see when players extract, loot, player positions and even elevation. That an since they mirror the traffic from one PC to another they can seemingly go undetected until BSG addresses it.

Now here's where this get obfuscated. Lag switching is very real and is happening to players alot more often than they want to believe. Ever get in a firefight and your enemy just stays put for a brief moment and you fall over. Must be desync correct? Well it may, but more often than not it is a player with a lag switch. Given this games CLIENT AUTHORITATIVE design, programmers can easily design lag switches that not only create rules in their firewalls to block inbound and outbound packets to the Game, but also deletes the rules immediately afterwards.
