Bankoletti
I just came from a raid on shoreline. I met a scav, double tapped him with RFB (M80) pretty sure both bullets hit (in the thorax). Since he didn't fall, I started spamming further, ultimately hitting him with 7 (seven) M80 7,62x51 hits. He wasn't wearing armor, so this resulted in over 500 damage points (this was the only target I shot at). And yet he didn't fall and killed me in return. How is this possible? I'm just trying to understand, since it has happened several times in the past to me that I was literally pumping lead into an UNARMORED scav, and yet he just kept standing, eating my ammo like candies. I doubt it's a desync issue, since post-game report shows hits. So what gives? What's the rational explanation here? Screenshot attached. Caster89Actual
It could be a lot of different things though desynch is the most likely candidate. The scav likely died, just 10 minutes after. desynch has always been bad, but it’s got significantly worse since the last patch. on another more sad note I just had a PMC one tap me in my left arm with M61 after perfectly following my every movement while I was in the resort and he was outside throwing grenades at me. I’m pretty sure I got one shot in on his thorax with .366 AP but can’t be sure as he had a retina destroyer flashlight. apparently these are just features of the game, ya know. . . . Gotta keep you on your toes and always guessing as to what’s going to kill you next in ways that you shouldn’t die to. captainrussia21
100% it was not a regular Scav. Regular Scavs have 440 HP, in which case he would have been dead. So most likely it was Sanitar's guard, or the boss himself (Sanitar runs unarmored, while his guards are armored). He also heals himself. If you are 100% that this "Scav" was unarmored - it was probably Sanitar himself. Did he wear blue clothes with a red bag? This is why providing a death screen (name of killer) would help. All bosses and their guards have static names. And Sanitar has 1200 HP, while his guards have about 1000. More info on names and their gear is here: https://escapefromtarkov.fandom.com/wiki/Sanitar
ACuddlyBadger
You bumped into sanitar's guards or a player scav thiccer than a sniccer.
revplague
I would have to agree with the others, it sounds like you ran into a guard or sanitar himself who do have a larger health pool and do heal.
Bankoletti
Oh, I've met Sanitar and his goons many times before, but this was so far away from their spawns it never crossed my mind it could be one of them. It was basically just by the fence on the very western part of map - I was dashing north outside of that swampy village. I've never seen any of them this far away from their spawn. Since this was in the first minutes of the map, it was impossible for someone else to drag him all this way. It could be that their spawnpoints were updated in latest patches... I know it was a scav because he was yelling all that Russian "poetry" at me, and I know he didn't wear armor because post-mortem report doesn't show any damage dealt to armor. However, mad as I was, I forgot to check the name...
