Random Ghost footseps and stutters?

Hello Gamers!

Did any of you also encountering the random footsteps all over you? Like this in the video, or am i just alone? This thing is driving me crazy. And also stutters are back, with low usage of CPU and GPU. The performance in this patch dropped badly.

I had the same issue right after I spawned. I heard those random footsteps too.

BSG is aware of the random footsteps and i assume they will be fixed shortly. as for the stutters, i recommend messing around with your "Mip Streaming" option within the graphical settings. turn it on/off and see what works. that helped me restoring my fps back to the usual. have a good day :)!

Yes, they are trying to solve that problem.

If you hear ghost footsteps, you should probably try to desactivate "binaural sound" in sound option menu. It should fix the bug, but will go back to pure stereo directional sound withn't any kind of distortion. Wich is a bit sad, and dangerous in places with any kind of verticality, but may prove to be much more reliable, as this option not only brings ghost footsteps, but may also randomly prevent you from hearing footsteps, no matter How close they are. I also noticed some very weird distorsion on gunshots (i mean, more than usual), as if sounds were actually streamed by servers and experiencing packet loss issues instead of being played on the client with server's instructions.

mip streaming is only for offline Raids as i know?

It works for both offline and online mode, but if i remember correctly, you will not be able to change this option in online raid.

yes you will need to restart your game for it to come into effect
