I am not even sure what just happened...

As the title states, I'm just at a loss here.

I spawned in the sniping death zone on Reserve, ran around the back and while checking for snipers ran into two poor new players that I absolutely destroyed at their spawn. They were moving, but seemed like they didn't know what was up. I left their gear except for the tags because we've all been there, right? Making my way upwards to clear out snipers and run into a bot trying to skill up, easy headshot and tag. Make my round past the snipers nests and back into the back of dorms into the stairwell to go into the bunkers. Up until here, everything was pretty much normal. The bot being normal, the new players not mowing me down, not so normal, heh.

I hear raiders and am elated, but also creep walk my way to the side stairwell. What do I see but a thick boy sitting down trying to wait out his own ambush. He hadn't even noticed me as the raiders were making a ton of noise. I'm to his side and out of his vision. Pull the trigger and... nothing. Now I have run into the auto-bug before, so I started clicking multiple times.... nothing. This all in the span of a mere moment. He turns around, looks at me, pops me once with a some stupid, boring meta-mp9 or mp7 on single fire and drops me. And before I can see his name on this fishy kill (whether it be desync, or more usually on the Asia servers, more nefarious reasons) my game closes out to the desktop with the BS Launcher prompting me to file a crash report. Which also conveniently loses my Nvidia capture from the last 5 minutes.

I've NEVER had Tarkov crash like that ever. The timing was just too perfect to make it not suspicious as hell. Anyway, I'm not out a huge loss, but the fact that this morning it was China-central even on the Tokyo server and now this evening with that strangeness, it just seems like it's time to scav it up only for now.

i would not be surprised at all if people were using some type of lag hack, and/or forcing people to disconnect. i swear lately i have seen moments in game where it would lag stutter randomly... no low connection warning in the top right and my laptop runs this game easy as. i reckon i started to see lag/disconnect hacks in wargame red dragon. you would mow someone's army down or null their zerg rush and all of a sudden there would be a big freeze and people would be disconnected.  i have stopped running any valuable gear into reserve.

And did the "hack" also erased his nvidia capture? WOW the conspiracy theories are just.....outstanding

To be frank, I didn't say it was outright a hack or cheat. But in regards to what the other person was saying, with the game crashing to the desktop like it did, you automatically lose the nVidia recording because the application has closed. The first thing I did was hit my shortcut to see if I could save the video, but seeing as the launcher and tarkov are separate apps, the recorder started over again. Maybe I'm missing something you were inferring though, if so apologies.

You don´t have to apologize to me. Nor was i saying that you said it was definitely a cheat, that is why i quoted the other person and not you, as he was saying that people use a "lag hack" to force others to disconnect. Therefore i was asking him if that same "lag hack" was also the cause for your nvidia capture to be lost.
