Tarkov: Avenge the Fallen
A video competition consisting of three parts

In the long lasting conflict that is ongoing in the special economic zone of Norvinsk. Many comrades have fallen. The relentless engagements between local scavengers, soldiers and unknown seem to be never ending. You and your fellow PMC:s are all a part of this, in your long endeavour to finally escape from Tarkov.

An unfortunate side effect of this is that you watch comrades fall in battle. Not only are bystanders, civilians, or others being gunned down without reason. And just like Skif in the Raid series, a very human reaction is the desire for retribution. This is where this competition and these tasks come in.

To participate in this video competition, you will have to create video records of  accomplishing all of the below three subtasks.

Task 1: Show how you locate one or more opponent(s) by utilizing in-game clues (sounds of firearms, remaining dead bodies (including a stranger), inspection of  dogtags, blood spatter patterns, et cetera) - it is important that the thought process is explained in the video. You will need to educate the viewer! You will then have to proceed to locate the opponent(s) and avenge the fallen stranger. The verification of the task done is by matching dogtags.*

Task 2: You need to narrate how you work in a squad (perhaps BEAR and USEC working together?) whilst fighting another squad, explain your reasoning and tactics when you work for positions and push the opponent. The fight needs to show how you overcome adversity and win in spite of facing overwhelming odds, and how your team avenges a fallen comrade.

Task 3: Whilst being a player SCAV, you need to (using your detective skills) work toward helping other SCAVS, and once again narrate and locate one or more other player SCAVS who have attacked or killed other SCAVS and proceed to avenge them.

* Note: The dogtags need to clearly show that you are the killer of the player that had killed the one you are avenging.

Ground rules:

  • The video can be in a language other than English, but if this is the case, there needs to be some form of translation (eg. subtitles)
  • Submissions need to be YouTube-videos, they should be publicly listed, but it needs to be clear that the video is a contribution to this contest
  • Videos will be submitted as links in our official Discord, in the #avenge-the-fallen contribution channel

The competition will be judged by the community managers based on:

  • Creativity
  • Deductive skills / educational value displayed whilst narrating
  • Entertainment
  • Visual aesthetics

Submissions need to be submitted prior to 00:01 CEST, May 21:st to be able to enter

Winners will be announced a week after the competition

Are we allowed to stage it? Or does it have to be genuine footage?

Hello!

The method and creativity of the plays are up to each participant. :)

It's a video contest. The one who comes up with ideas, makes, edits, narrates and adds post-effects and audio (for example) is the one who is competing for the prize. However each squad member is of course able to enter individually with their footage. :)

1. Yes it can.

2. It doesn't need to have it in the name, but please add in the video description that it is an entry to the competition.

Thank you!

You know how time consuming putting a legit pro video is. The filming, editing, graphics, and voice acting? I feel like you can do better then an AVS And then a few rounds of meta M4 ammo. still might do it tho… 🖖😂

We had the October written horror story contest, and the winter themed photography cosplay contest. So we sure keep a decent mix! :)

What about the 200€ worth of Tarkov merch and the full edge of darkness key? That's roughly 300€ money's worth of stuff right there. :)

Doing all three subtasks is the only way to participate? The dog tag angle is extremely rough to come across naturally.

Yes, can be quite difficult to accomplish without staging it. Keep recording your gameplay and do a voice-over if you run into such situations is how I would recommend doing it. :)

Hi, Can you work with other people on the video?

I interpreted as like : "Can I work with other people to make the video ?"

I guess it's not a problem ... but who will take the credits and the prize ? You just have to agree between you, before making the video.

It's just one prize for one video no matter how many has participated at making it.

Yeah I don't get this one. Far to many requirements that you either fake or hope you can get lucky. It seems like a weird premise since you are looking for videos explaining tactics and thought process then add an insane requirement.
