Huntsman Path: Secured Perimeter Change

This quest is undoable (huntsman path: secured perimeter) when it comes to a late wipe situation. You literally cannot progess in the game because it requires killinging PMCs in a specific area of the map. Please give this a thought maybe? It blocks progression for anyone bellow Prepare For Escape Edition. What are your thoughts.

That’s one of the tasks I’m working on right now. The issue for me isn’t so much having to kill late wipe juice boys. It’s the fact that most of the factory PVP seems to happen in forklift or the tunnels/outside gate 0 then they quick loot and bounce. I usually set up in the hall and watch out the windows for wandering PMCs. When I hear someone coming I will retreat to the kick door room by office and wait for them to pass my angles threshold.

problem being not many PMCs seem to come up to the third floor anymore. It’s usually player scavs or when it is a PMC it’s a super fresh low level which I almost feel guilty for killing or it’s a 4 stack coming up for scav farming.

Even then in my last 10 attempts that I make it up there only one or two of those do PMCs make their way upstairs to the third floor.

I have no idea how which edition you have impacts this quest, or any quest. The only differences are the stash size and the starting items, but most of your starting items are gone (either sold or lost) after a week or two anyways.

In case you don't realize, the phrase "office area" refers to more than that one room. Kills in the stairwells and showers also count.

Prepare for Escape and EOD. If you look on the website at Prepare for Escape or EOD you will see this text: Initially good standing with all in game traders - your trader rep is basically 1.0 (that's what good standing represents) from the start. This means that with Jaeger you dont need to do his quests in order to gain enough reputation to level him up. Think about it, you need 0.20 rep with jaeger to get him to level 2. How do you get the 0.20 reputation if you cannot pass huntsman path secured perimeter and do his other quests?

I know that the stairwells and the shower count. But nobody comes there mostly right now because they dont need to go there. And when they do come they are either low level characters (like mine, which is rare nowdays), or high level players with good guns/ammo and/or armor and faceshields, which i cannot penetrate, and max level strenght and endurance.

I find this quest relatively easy, compared to others. But i can understand, that this could be a problem, late in the wipe. I would recommend altyn, class 5 armor and a fast firing smg. And run around like a maniac also helps. And throw 5 grenades in every corner of the area.

Sounds stupid, but it works. And im really bad at this game. Maybe you can connect it with other PvP quests.

After "secured perimeter", there are some easyer quests. Before the really shitty ones ofcourse. But you should be able to gaine enough rep to build the waterthing level 3. Even with the standard edition.

I hate the quest which requires the boltaction kills under 25 meter or something.

I hope they will change some of the quests with the factory rework. But honestly, i dont think so....

I thought they updated the task to where only the third floor hall and office counted? It still counts in the stairwell and showers?

if so that’s a game changer for me doing this task.

IF They are wearing high level Gear such as a slick or a level 5 chest rig just buy a saiga shotgun with 10 round mag use magnum buckshot and aim for limbs or stomache. You would be shocked how quickly you can absolutely destroy them as magnum buck does massive damage very fast you can also mix the mag with flachette both ammos are dirt cheap.

This task is very much doable have done it many times now you just gotta know how to play it.

Also an alternative would be to use a ks-g with shrap 10 or 25 all it takes is one shot to the leg problem solved.
