Solos Vs Groups is Trash

Solo is hard mode in this game. Either get a group to play with, do LFG, or git gud enough to murder groups! The average tarkov group players is pretty bad, so 2-mans are not too hard to deal with. Otherwise groups tend to be super loud, so easy to get around.

I recommend running a ton of factory to git gud at PvP if youre gonna go solo.

To be honest it can be soul crushing, worse I had was running into a 5 man on customs. Had no chance.  I too would recommend a solo/duo que and being able to opt out of 3+ groups as it would make the game more balanced, unfortunately this game does not favour grouping with randoms even though it's an option- something most fps games don't have trouble with.  I don't see the devs ever adding a new que system as it takes work and would slow down match making plus the groups would whine they are always fighting groups (welcome to our world). I would say do what WORKSOP said and play like a rat. Gets easier later on to wipe squads when you gain access to high round mags and good ammo but in early wipe it is very frustrating.

The way I would work around the grouping with randoms is to add some sort of punishment for killing a team mate, maybe rep lost or something or maybe a new rep that displays your stat on team kills in grouping because if you left for a raid with a group and came back solo each time with there stuff it would be pretty obvious in reality you are murdering the team and you'd gain a bad rep as a tker.

What?

If you are saying soloing is hard well yeah it is you need to play more tactically sneak about and lay in ambush thats what I do

This is right it's all about when you make noise relocate and reset on fights. Don't take it head on like you have a team with you. Drop one, reposition, drop another, repeat. I love solo fights they just make it so much more rewarding when you win.

From what I know, a matchmaking system will never be implemented in the main game (it could be introduced in the Arena Mode though), it is against the vision of the game, that of being hardcore, challenging, also there are pros and cons for both sides, just try to adapt to the given situation, most of those big squads only have more firepower than you, they can't be coordinated since there are a lot of communications that can go wrong when 3-5 people talk in the same time, they can shoot eachother and get really confused in the chaos of a firefight, also, almost always you will have the element of surprise, its easier to hear five pairs of footsteps than just one. While playing solo, you don't have to worry about your teammates and you can either choose a fight if you think you can win it or just avoid it and bail out.

Those are only a couple of pros of playing solo I thought about right now, it is just my point of view, I actually enjoy playing solo and encountering a team of 2 or more players, it often feels easier to defeat a team of more opponents instead of a solo player.
