raiders/bosses doing more damage then they should?

i get killed by one and im like oh poo he head eyes me and then i look and its 5-7 to the thorax when the mf only shot 2 bullets this gotta be a bug right?

I assume its a bug, but it seems to be simply a 'hardcore realism feature' since they dont want to ever fix it lol.

Bosses are meant to be more difficult, they have a higher health pool than normal scavs so killing them is not an easy task same deal with raiders.

They are more accurate and intelligent than your average scav AI 

I think it also depends on the ammo type you use usually BP, BT, BS ammo works well against raiders and bosses, I remember killing shturman last wipe just shortly before the maintenance started and I had to use at least 2 30 round mags from my M4 to drop him.
