Scav Karma question

I have 1.39 positive scav karma and on occasion i will see the scav boss and his minions then they will just straight out kill me for no reason, i didn't fire a single shot or anything . Does this happen to anyone else because it is making it really stupid when you are supposed to get karma to protect them and then just shoot for no reason.

I think your Fence rep has to be way higher for scav bosses to like you.

i've had the same karma and even less and was able to go up to the bosses and follow them and everything and them not kill me then the next time they would just immediately shoot for no reason.

It isn't broken. It is just worthless. There are very little benefits for being nice, and when you try, you are negatively affected by it and not the other player. I have lost a lot of tools I needed to finish tasks because of scav players. I have only been killed 1 time by a pmc and probably 20 to 30 times by scav players.

if the boss get bugged you may stay near him, but the way that it should work is : you need to have 6 rep with fence to get close to them, if you are below that, his bodyguards will come to you on your arrival and will say to you  to stay back, if you insist in staying there for more secs, they will shoot you.maybe they change the mechanic in the future but right now, its the way i said

I just posted about this, i dont get it. I was literally standing in the middle of rashala and his goons waving and talking to them and rashala would respond and give me the finger and that was that, just went about my business. Then i went near them again later, probably 15m away around a corner not paying attention to them and one sprints from across strong hold and shots me immediately. Wasnt even the closest one. Both times my rep was -.01.

The only difference i can think of is they were aggro'd by someone else the second time. So maybe that was it.

Usually the 1st time you go near them they wont aggro kind of like a warning. The second time you get close you have pushed your luck so to speak with the guards getting to close to the big boss and they will smoke you. Its a weird and confusing mechanic but its how it works.
