People were tanking rounds whilst wearing a kiver and people were getting upset because it did not emulate irl. Since then a large number of changes have happened which has made the face hitbox become pointless. We have bosses that tank many headshots yet regardless of what you wear you are always a one tap. No skill involved, no thought behind it. Just aim for high chest and the natural bounce of the weapon will do the job for you 9/10 times. When 2/3rds of all my kills are headshots ( and my aim sucks in comparison to some) then clearly something is not right. Hitting the head using a mouse is very, very easy. Why have health at all if health doesn't matter? I even got smashed by shrapnel from a dude throwing nades behind new gas whilst I was below train bridge, like wtf is that?!?!?! xicobala Posted July 26, 2021 Share Posted July 26, 2021 Gotta say the head+face hitbox is HUGE in this game compared to other shooters. Compare it to csgo and its more than double the size. Rarely do we die or kill from anything other than headshots at medium to close range specially with the current full auto spray meta. When you add the infamous network desync problems to this fact it leads to a lot of strange kills/deaths by one taps. Just try watching some clips of head shot kills on slow motion and you can see a lot of questionable kills. What shouldn't have a place in EFT is bosses with super-human health. As for the fact that we aim using a mouse and it makes being accurate too easy, I suggest going over a lot of @Spectator6's suggestion posts here on his profile More specifically the "Deep Dive into Gaming Realism". First because it will be completelly inconsequential given the insane headshot kill ratio we got right now because of hit registration, head hit box size and network desync Something like a inertia system would be leaps and bounds more impactfull for realism sake than multiple hitboxes for the torso. That is if they are even aiming to incorporate somewhat realistic shooting mechanics. Real life gunfights might not translate well to a game.
