Exhor
A few months ago, it is not known in which patch, a friend I was playing with in raid constantly had FPS drops. From 90, it went to 30, from 120 it went to 20, and so on. Has a great PC: i7 10700k 16 GB DDR4 3600 Mhz game on SSD 850W corsair psu rtx 2070 super We didn't know why he was doing so badly. For so long. We have tried absolutely everything. And I thought: what has he different from me? And 3 more friends we play with? RAM. the 3600 mhz seems to be that it does not work well in tarkov. I have 3400, and the other two colleagues 3200 and they work great, all with 16gb. He tried lowering the rams from 3600 to 3400 and it works perfectly. I don't know when BS broke something, but it's a fact. For those who inexplicably fail the game and cannot play, give it a try. Slava_Ukrainii
Nice find for people who experience FPS drops. Have to say that my own 3600Mhz kit is working perfectly though, might be a specific hardware combination with Tarkov that doesn't play well. (I'm using a kit of 32GB Trident Z Neo 3600Mhz)
Filipino82
How exactly did the stutters look? I get stable alright FPS all the time except when I move between larger parts of the map lets say. For example in the middle between Shoreline Radio tower and Power station (it has to load the resort and more buildings or something I guess?) or even in Factory when going from Office stairs towards Vending stairs. In a timespan of lets say 1.5 s it produces 3-4 0.2 second long freezes I'd say. 5600x,16gb 3600 cl16, 970 evo ssd with EFT on it, gtx 1060 (1440p, low graphics) And it started exactly after I updated to 0.12.11.2. a week ago. Thinking about getting +16gb more ram as the game usually uses 11-12gb and leaves me with 1 gb free.

And many times these drops continue for a few seconds. It had happened for a long time, but more moderate. With the last patch I think it has been accentuated more because when trying to play with it it tells me that it is almost impossible

There could be a few other reasons that the higher frequency is stuttering, sounds like it is just unstable at that higher clock. I don't think I've ever seen high clock speeds perform worse in any case except instability. A few things you can check out are: Voltage: The voltage that your ram defaults to may be a bit lower than required. I would start playing with the voltage, you can google your type of ram and find the timing profiles online. But if your ram starts off at 1.35v as the default, raise it to 1.39v, and then so on; by small increments until you find that it is no longer stuttering. Temperatures: High temperatures can cause instability. I should also say that 16gb of ram for tarkov is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. It on average uses 14.5gb, and most computers at idle use 2.5 - 3.5gb. I really would urge you all to slap another stick in there for a minimum of 24gb. If you are using up all your available ram, it will stutter. Even if your paging file can make up for the difference, it will cause games to stutter.
