Dr_DonutPHD
So i was new to the game at one point and i didn't trust anyone even in scavs, so unfortunately i kos a few times till my buddy told me that was gonna cost me at fence, which it did. i am now painfully trying to get my rep up .1-.4 every time i run my painfully long scav timer, however, it is nearly impossible with the amount of toxic scav players who im friendly to who just backstab me when im not looking, i feel like there should be a higher penalty for killing scavs as a scav, i would also suggest some kind of timer leeway for new scav raids after a peaceful scav is killed by rouges, this happens nearly every time i load into a new scav raid and its making it impossible to make any progress on my fence rep and its making the game quite daunting to play especially when money is a very important thing at the level im at. I get if they're new players or what not just like i was one time, but its getting ridiculous. Datvivar
Yeah, I hear that bad scavs have been more feisty (and plentiful) as of late. I think I scav timer hike (up to 50 mins + for killing a friendly scav) would be a good reasonable deterrent. Well good luck out there man. There are friendly scavs like myself in raids, just hope others get the hint haha.
ricacov
BSG will never make scav cooldown up to days like it was suggested 500 times and is a necessity if they want to treat scav as a faction and a counter necessity because only bad players depend on the scav and it's timer. Eventually your PMC will have decent incoming and you'll get tired of this bs and be a bad scav also. It's been 3 raids that I went from 2.6 to 1.99 and IT'S SO MUCH FOCKING BETTER! My main idea has been to increase the cooldown of the scav timer after a raid to about 50-ish minutes if you earn negative rep. I think that is fair across the board and would be a better deterrent to those who are just douchebags trying to steal your guns/loot. I think in the long run, if you multiply it out, though a scav might make a douche-y choice from time to time, kill you and take your gear because they think it is worth the longer scav timer, that does mean that douche-y player scav will be in raids less often. Apply that to every "friendly" scav across the game, and I think you will find a lot less bad scavs in raids. Also, it is fair for jittery new players, if they mess up and accidentally kill a friendly scav - they'd probably be okay with the longer timer for one match too. Key point here, it is a reasonable deterrent. 1 hour ago, ricacov said: It's been 3 raids that I went from 2.6 to 1.99 and IT'S SO MUCH FOCKING BETTER! Because I totally agree with your second point. The exponential loss of rep as you get higher in rep does not make sense. I do not think making the rep penalty higher is the solution. The system definitely needs some tweaks, for sure. Cheers, -Datvi I mean thats fair in not changing the penalty but i would settle for different lobbies i guess maybe the more unfriendly you are you get put into unfriendly lobbies, i feel thats fair, its just unnecessarily hard to get anything out of my scavs getting killed by other scavs, PMCs are hardly a problem, i never see them
JelliedGasoline
Blocking off scav raids to bad scavs (who paid for the game, just like you and me) isn't good gameplay design IMHO. Do the opposite: make good scavs have even shorter cooldowns. Give people a reason to be a good scav rather than trying to force a gameplay style onto someone else. People have suggested having killer scavs mumble like madmen after their first non-hostile scav kill. I say tie more things to fence (like flea market commissions or cheaper insurance) or even lower the scav cooldown if you get killed by a player scav and didn't kill any non-hostile scavs; something noticeable like 25-33%. Let better scavs play more rather than punish bad scavs for killing you for a vpo and half-used CAR. And most importantly, make there be an actually good reason to not merc every scav you run across. Yeah - that is a positive incentive I would get behind.
