Obviously, headphones would improve audio even more, but if everyone has good audio it will prevent campers and rats from being able to move around unoticed. This fix would also encourage pvp with people in close quarters. I think it would also be easier to fix bugs in the system. That would make fixing audio bugs easier and help with encouraging pvp. It makes no sense that you level up your listening ability in a battlefield, if anything it decreases from all the explosions and gun fire. Kinda, but not really. I would think of it more as your perception and interpretation of the sounds get better. Before, you just heard a gun. Now you hear AK-47 from the northwest around 300 meters away. Maybe that kind of thing. When you were green, you heard a noise in Resort, was it a rat (the animal), a board creaking from humidity, or a foot scraping as someone turns? With years of experience, now you know someone is two floors above you and squatting while turning. But yeah, the ENTIRE sound engine needs to be dumped and reworked to actually, you know, work.
