Optics Companies Thread

RusOpticalSystem gunsights - We need these in Tarkov. Russian built hunting scopes in many varieties, they fit the setting and they would make for amazing gunsights. The special feature about them which makes them stand out, is the special Bi-focal lens, which provides both an unmagnified, high-field of vision sight picture, and a precise, high magnification sight picture. With this you have simultaneous high field of vision and high precision at range.

These would be amazing to have in Tarkov, and what's nice is that it's a Russian company, which makes sense in the Tarkov setting and also it is easier for BSG to get their approval.

I was almost shocked to see the lack of the classic Aimpoint CompML2 in the game. We need this.

Also, the Trihcon RX01 is neat, low profile and a good looking red dot. I'd love to see this added as well.

Yes that's why i said "please make it realistic"

so when you run around or walk and you have head bumps the reticle will stay on target and you can still be accurate instead of looking like the reticle is on target but really isnt

To elaborate on what i think Christoffer is saying, and adding some of my POV using my ~10 years different types of tactical shooting...

when your head bumps around the aiming dot will stay close to where the bullet will impact at it's zeroed range, so it will move around but only relative to how much your head moves relative to your rifle. So a tactical shooter with some trigger-time or a trained operator will have eliminated most of that head/dot movement. Rifle sway/bumping while walking on the other hand is a lot harder to minimize and take a LOT of training to minimize and some sway will always be there whenever your heel hits the ground. it is something you have to learn to shot with, timing the shoots so you shoot while you are most stable. This is especially important with a rifle that recoil harder. so Staying on target while walking is hella hard.

Btw the vid you posted is a reflex sight and not a holographic sight, they might look the same but are a lot different when you use them in the field since holographic sights create a superimposed image at a distance of the field of view. To put it in layman's terms, it looks like the dot is ON the target 100 or so meters in front of you and not just a dot reflected on a plain of glass.
The only thing that vid shows is the problem with Parallax in cheaper optics.

I am just curious if you know that no matter where that reticle is, it will still be on target.

Actually it will not, the further the dot are from the center of the optic the more distorted the aiming reticle will be it is more noticeable on cheaper optics like Pilad and especially some china replicas. In addition to this you do have Parallax "a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight". But high grade red-dots and Holographic sights got different tech to compensate for this so it is just about not an issue.
If you wonder what Parallax looks like in a cheaper optic just look at Christoffer5700's vid at the start of this thread and notice how the dot shifts in relation to what it is aimed when he moves the camera

sorry for the long txt and it might me nitpicking, but for a guy with some time in the field it is important details

Edit: i realize now that some of this might be hard to implement in a game. (but, i am no game developer)

Personally i'd like to see the Smith and Bender Shordots. and personally the 1.1-4x one

You can find the contact-info on the webpage.

And in addition to the Aimpoint Micro T1 i would like to se the Comp M2 and Comp M4 or maybe Comp M4s

Not an optic... but a picatinny rail mount for sights on the pump and semi-shotgun? not mountable in the field as you need to drill holes and make threads in your receiver to mount the rail, but it's not hard. here is a pic how it can look with a Pilad on it.

This is a repost, as someone told me to post it in these forums. It's just a red dot that I think would be awesome in the game. I don't know if the tarkov team can add these because they would need licensing and stuff but I thought I would at least point it out cause I think it looks sort of interesting and modern.

Not sure if this counts as an "optic" but since you guys already have Tapco on board you might want to look into their risers and carrying handle mounts http://www.tapco.com/products/ar-carry-handle-mount-black.html. These would be great for getting shorter optics to clear front sights (at the cost of greater parallax) and would also open the door for additional tactical options for both fixed and detachable carrying handle systems on ARs (like older AR-15s, Colt M7XX series and the M16/A1/A2s). Tapco also makes SAW style grips for ARs as well as the existing AK models (that we already have) http://www.tapco.com/products/intrafuseâ-ar-15-stock-set-black.html (seen here with some other parts they make) as well as buffer tube adapters for Saiga shotguns http://www.tapco.com/products/saiga-t6â-stock-set.html that open the door to a ton of customization options. Sorry if some of these parts are not optics, I wasn't sure if I should put these here or under weapons. On the topic of sights though here's some cool stuff from Truglow (again already a company you guys have on board) including some magnified optics (https://www.truglo.com/optics/red-dots.asp) as well as some longer raged magnified optics (https://www.truglo.com/optics/tactical-scopes.asp). One final company for not just optics but gear as well would be NcStar (https://www.ncstar.com/company-info/contact-us/) that make innumerable products such as scopes and furniture to things like backpacks, vests and even "magazine wallets" https://www.ncstar.com/performance-gear/shooters-gear-accessories/magazine-wallet/cmw2937b-mag-wltpstl-rflblk (that could be used as a keybar/docs case/ weapon case just for magazines, something that would really come in handy when the new loading system is implemented and the inherent value of having more magazines increases).
