The Shoreline: the new screenshots of the location

Recommended Posts

Dear friends! We are happy to present 15 new screenshots of the new location, which is eventually to appear in Escape from Tarkov - the Shoreline.

The Shoreline is the second closest location to the military checkpoint at the port area entrance - the Tarkov evacuation point. It is characterized by a noticeably larger size than any other Tarkov locations, as well as varied landscapes and objects.

Its territory houses a partially abandoned village, modern private housing, and fields, long shoreline with a boating facility, gas station, weather station, cellular base station and other interesting places.

Its main point of interest is the large "Azure Coast" health resort, consisting of several buildings with its own hydroelectric power plant. The main exit from the map will be located next to the main Russian Armed Forces checkpoint at the Port entrance.

looks great! this map is coming on during closed beta release right?

This map is more than the location "Forest" about 2 times, but, perhaps at the start of the СBT, the location will be smaller - we plan to gradually expand it.

This is incredible! It looks beautiful. Shoreline is 2x bigger than forest, and forest is 2x bigger than customs. You guys are amazing!

From these screenshots the Shoreline map looks way more detailed and natural then e.g. Woods (which is quite uniform right now). Are there any plans to "update" the early maps Factory, Customs and Woods before the final release? I am asking because I read an interview where a developer said that they right now implementing new techniques of creating maps and that those early maps were more or less placeholders to test game machanics (close/mid/long range fights).

Hi,

I like the idea of big maps, lots of buildings maybe a underground but there needs to be stuff/loot in these locations if not they will be bypassed, same with the other maps, big spaces with hardly anything to loot. What I would like is something worth while going to these places for, One suggestion would be to have a hardened Scav, bigger, meaner then the rest who is protecting some sweet sweet loot. Also I know we cant have mutants or something because of the realistic nature but I would love this game to have more stalker immersion.
