Vsync

I get around 60-70 frames without Vsync but then my screen tears lots. It's pretty annoying but when I turn on vsync my frames drop to 40-50 and makes my game lag, but there's no tearing.

I dont really want to drop my quality any because, why would you? any way around this?

I've got exactly the same issue, especially visible on Shoreline map. Vsync makes the game lose frames from time to time (at the same time limiting the capability of my GPU, the usage is always at 70% max), turning it off and capping the game at 60fps causes screen tearing. Any workarounds?

Specs:

MSI GTX 970 4GB (well, it's actually 3,5, thanks nVidia)
i5 4690k overclocked @4,5GHz
16GB RAM 2133MHz
Windows 8.1
SSD Drive

Also, overclocking the GPU didn't change anything (apart from gaining more fps when Vsync off). Who's the culprit? My PC or the game?

The only thing I could think is the gpu can't handle the lack of optimization at this time and so v sync doesn't have proper gpu to sustain it
