When are you guys going to the US to try out American guns?

Recommended Posts

So me and my friends watched the Degtyarev Plant video and can't help but wonder when the battestate Devs are going to visit the United States and let Americans show off some of their personal guns from their collections to you. I have a sizable inventory myself and know of a few people that would love to share what they have in their collections if it would help the development of escape from tarkov and record shooting sound effects while taking detailed photos. Here's some firearms we have available:

The new RSASS coming in the next patch is a Remington firearm, as well as the Colt M4 (already implemented), is a US weapon as well. Furthermore, feel free to put some weapons you recommend in the following thread:

It's a good start but not enough. We have a few American, West European and East Asian guns that would make good additions.

Jesus bro you getting ready for the zombie apocalypse haha

I would love for more western weapons in the game, I'm sure BSG could allocate some budget in order to plan a trip over to view your collection (and others!) :P

See, the idea of some civvie owned firearms are something you can back up logically in Tarkov. Much cheaper AR variants as semi-auto only AR15 rifles, PTRs or FALs for battle rifles... As much as I love the K1 and K2 rifles they don't really have a place in Tarkov.

Exotic stuff from Asian manufacturers (Korea, Japan, etc.) is probably very very low on the to-do list.
First the game will be fleshed out with weapons from much more known manufacturers with which licensing is already done (or is in process of), such as for example Kalashnikov, Remington, H&K, etc.

I'm afraid that BSG cannot simply go over to the USA and try out your own personal collection of guns.

If they want to add those models into the game, then they have to visit the manufacturers of those guns in order to get licensing / copyright permissions sorted out.

Unless you yourself are the proud maker of those guns...

That's not necessarily true. EA games and other mainstream game developers do not consult weapon manufacturers for permissions. The only one I know of that goes full length to receive permissions is Bohemia. I'm pretty sure Battle State needs to consult their local laws. Nonetheless, they already have Sig, H&K and Colt Defense weapons so I'm sure they have all relevant legalities in check in accordance to their government.

I've actually had video game developers, domestic, foreign, and everything in between come to some of our machine gun shoots.

Now, there have been exceptions but, usually their kind of small but way too demanding like, "Ok, EVERYONE stop firing so we can record the sound of an M60E6 shedding links up close" or some weird requests without even asking politely.or even bothering to show up announced.

Wouldn't mind if BSG did it the proper way but, past experiences have seriously rubbed me the wrong way on the matter.

I'm quite certain they can try US weapons out in Russia too. I guess there are some foreign weaponry there too. ;)

Well, BSG asked the community to provide the names of the companies, weapons, accessories that the players wanted to see in the game, especially the mail and telephone numbers of these companies.

You can even find the symbols of "Ⓡ" and "™" in the description of a few items.

But yhea, i will like to see more weapons from Europe, USA and some Chinese.

Considering this game is based on a russian region, there wont be many US weapons as there are russian weapons and local weaponry and etc. BUT, that doesnt mean that there wont be ANY single american gun to the game, I am excited to see the addition of american weaponry over at peacekeeper!

2 factions, One is US based and one is Rus based. Take a guess again.

Thats what I thought. Either way they have the basics down (typical guns) maybe we'll get the pp19, scar, etc. those types. it would be nice to see in general.

from what ive seen around the forums there adding the most popular guns as well as some others so things like AR-15,Scar,G36 these types of guns but i think they have to fit in with the theme but with traders the types of guns they can add are endless.

As far as what might end up in the traders; you'd be surprised at what ends up in warzones, blockaded or not. You can see videos of FN F2000s with suppressors in Libya, all sorts of western rifles in Syria ect. Bonkers things like the FNC and Czech rifles in Africa. If the weapon has ever ended up on the world market in any appreciable amounts, it will probably find it's way into the nearest conflict. Tarkov would be no exception. Bar crazy things like maybe the FAMAS, SIG 5xx series of rifles, or Japan's Type 64/89 rifles which to my knowledge were never exported beyond domestic forces.

Here is a question. Where the heck is the Mosin Nagant? They want a cheap, easily accessible weapon that has plentiful ammunition, is battle tested, decently accurate, can be found in your grand-father's collection or shed. Answer: Mosin Nagant. They mentioned it a while back so where is it? The ammunition (7.62x54mmR) is in already so all we need is the bolt action death bringer in its multiple variants (dragoon, hex bolt, round bolt, sniper, obrez, M91). And believe it or not, We Americans manufactured a huge load of them for the Ruskies way back. So, technically a large portion of the rifle are "American". ^_^

Want to see someone test out the toughness of the rifle? Look at Iraqveteran8888's Youtube video on torture testing the Mosin Nagant. That thing is a beast.
