Hmmm, To think I passed up the chance to buy a near first run DSA SA58 about a month ago, (not a fan 7.62x51mm, but the FN FAL and it's children just have that retro cool feeling to them.)

I guess I can at least play around with one here now.

MP7?

Oh damn, I never thought I would see the day. Hopefully it will come with the 45 round magazines instead of the base 20 round mag.

The SA58's more of the unknown for me, time for research!

MP7 has either a 20 or 40 round magazine. Let's hope is goes trough Fort like a hot knife trough butter, as it should :). But what will be the part/role of the other SMG's apart from beeing obsolete?

SA58 info:

DSA FAL (DSA-58)

American company DSA (David Selveggio Arms) manufactures a copy of the FAL called the DSA-58 that is made with the same Steyr-Daimler-Puch production line equipment as the StG-58. It comes with a 406 mm (16 in), 457 mm (18 in) or 533 mm (21 in) barrel, an aluminum-alloy lower receiver, and improved Glass-filled Nylon furniture. Civilian models are semi-automatic, but military and Law Enforcement clients can procure select-fire models that have a fully automatic cyclic rate of 750 rounds/minute. The DSA-58 can use any metric-measurement FAL magazines, which come in 5, 10, 20 or 30-round capacities.

The DSA-58 OSW (Operational Specialist Weapon) is an assault carbine version of the paratrooper model of the FAL. It has a side-folding Enhanced PARA polymer stock, shorter 279 mm (11 inch) or 330 mm (13 inch) barrel and an optional full-auto setting.

The DSA-58 CTC (Compact Tactical Carbine) is a carbine version of the FAL. It has a side-folding Enhanced PARA polymer stock, shorter 413 mm (16.25 inch) barrel and an optional full-auto setting. Overall Length: 927 mm (36.5 inches) Weight: 3.74 kg (8.25 lbs).

So basicly the American counterpart of the AKM series, with scimular bullet characteristics and a 150 fast rof. This thing will be a BEAST on the battlefield!

Memory serve me, a few of the originals runs were made out of actual L1A1 parts kits so those are desired as they're technically full "mil-spec"

Though they still make brand new FAL clones, which are better than the absolute crap that Century arms passes off for FALs.

HK MP7 oh yeah!!! I always prefered it over the FN P90, even if the latter has more magazine capacity. It has a lot of features that I like, adn it handles a bit better.

I really hope that we will be able to collapse the stock so it's even more compact than it already is.
