there are quite a few mods that are detrimental to use statistically and make absolutely no sense.
Daniel defence rails - new val grip, new cqr fore grip to name a few, i have a been making a list which i plan to add a post in the developers section in hopes it will be fixed.

To be fair here, the same applies in real life. The DD rails, for example, as cool as they are, are an outdated rail design compared to modern M-Lok or Keymod rails. They're heavy, fat, and as cool as they are and for all the advantages they have. . . They are technically "Worse" than more modern rails.

The Hera Arms stock. . . Has a mostly non-adjustable length of pull, has a fairly thin cheek section resulting in a pretty bad cheek weld compared to some other options, has a horribly steel grip angle ( Though that's sorta par-the-course with AR-15 grips, following the stock grip angle ) not to mention being bulky, and also having a big solid section attached to the grip which could in same cases get in the way of handling the firearm.

Sometimes, it's just about being cool looking. The buttstock costs. . . 120 dollars to get in real life, compared to about 40 for a MOE stock and about 25 for an Ergo grip, just to toss in some random parts. For 65 dollars or even less you can get something far more practically useful in real life.

The Hera Arms foregrip is bulky, large, and unnecessarily heavy. It also costs double what a quality foregrip would cost in real life- 40 dollars for it, compared to 20 dollars for any Magpul offering.

Sometimes, in real life and in game currently, cool factor is the only practical reason to use something.

in reference to the DD rails, i was just meaning the stats between the two versions in game, they are different simply because one is FDE and the other is black, its things like that which are messed up.

the new as val grip which allows an MOE stock should have identical recoil proprieties to the standard VAl folding stock when fitted with rubber butt pad and offer and increase in ergonomics according to the values presented in game, but try it out, it doesn't apply the recoil properties, there multiple inaccuracy's like that throughout attachments

IRL the Hera Arms stuff is commonly used in the US for compliancy's sake. It may not be what it was designed for but it has found a niche. It supposedly designed to create a small, tight, maneuverable rifle, so maybe some advantage could be given to that aspect of it.
