Problems with .8 update download

I am having trouble downloading the new update, I managed to get the new launcher but when im downloading the patch it keeps timing out and giving me error messages, finally got it downloaded after restarting the launcher every time it stops downloading but then it wiped the all the files and made me re download. just sucks cus i've been waiting for the patch to come out and now im waiting around for it to download again. Has anyone had the same issues??

I haven't experienced that issue, I'm no expert but have you attempted the downloading from a different server? I am unsure if this will resolve the issue, but I suppose its worth a try. Out of curiosity what does the error message say?

Originally i connected to the best ping server through the launcher (singapore) then on the second download i tried just auto connecting but its still doing it. I'm confused as to why this is happeneing because i've never had a problem downloading patches until now. next time the message comes up i will copy it and put it in this post so you can see what I mean. 

is it possible that the new launcher is causing the issue maybe?
