TheAvenger
Hey there! So what do you guys think, would proximity voice chat a good idea, or would it hurt the immersive atmosphere currently in the game. On the one hand I guess it would be a great way to group up whilst in a raid and also contribute to the realism, when a squad is coordinating by voice commands and others can hear that. By enhancing the hand commands that are already in game you could decide to coordinate by hand commands while sneaking around and yell at your sqaudmembers when you go loud. On the other hand it would kinda hurt the atmosphere of the Russian enviroment, although If I remember correctly the USEC guys are from all over the world, so it woulnd't be that bad at all, if you hear many different languages on the battlefield. In my opinion it would be a very nice addition to the game and make communication a bit easier when you're not in a group that uses Discord/TeamSpeak or whatever. I loved the way the Darkzone in The Division worked before 1.8. When you meet some random guys, talk a little with them and have the opportunity to turn rouge on them any second... that were just so darn thrilling moments.... ha.. awseome lol
AdhesiveTeflon
I'd hide in a bush and troll the hell out of everybody. That'll be so fun. Edited May 3, 2018 by AdhesiveTeflon
souredsoup
At first when BSG mentioned they were planning to add prox voice I was skeptical and imagined that it would only lead to extra salty / toxic game play, but after thinking about it more I am kinda looking forward to it. Not only could it lead to impromtu grouping up with others in the middle of a raid, but it could lead to some fun too. I can recall several instances of imaginative use of prox voice in games like DayZ Standalone where people were making spooky horror sounds, or playing music like movie soundtracks from old Spaghetti Westerns while walking down the middle of the road in Cherno, or even role playing and doing voice mimicry like pretending to be Morgan Freeman or Christopher Walken. So I'm all for it now!
SlimSadist
I thought this was already in the works. It should be a feature. Scavs and pmcs, when you run into a random, it's hard to tell if they are gonna be friendly ornot. Especially when running into another PC Scav. I have had moments i don't open fire because it's another scav, but they open fire on me anyways.
Dschidda
Without karma system for scav I can not see a purpose in that.
