Have you tried the following ? (Virtual memory set up) :

  • Right click on Computer and open Properties.
  • Select Advanced System Properties
  • Click Advanced tab Under Performance,
  • click Settings Under Performance Options,
  • click Advanced tab Here under Virtual memory panel,
  • select Change Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives
  • Highlight your system drive
  • Select Custom size
  • Change the Initial size value and the Maximum size value to a higher value
  • Click Set
  • Finally Click Apply/OK all the way.

I joined the current BETA and I am unable to get this game even to launch. I get immediate crash with the same Access Violation (0xc0000005).  I've tried the above steps as well and I still get a crash. No menu, nothing.

Support got back to me after a while. They told me the Citrix app I had installed was causing issues. I uninstalled it and the game launches now.

Wow--uninstalling citrix definitely fixed it for me. Also weirdly fixed Cities Skylines not being able to launch.
