My top 3 issues with EFT (Constructive Feedback)

So here we have a game like no other - Escape from Tarkov; No game has ever gotten me in such a rush or felt so good, no other game comes close to this game in terms of realism, and no other game has the potential to be as great of a game as Tarkov. But despite all this greatness and potential; there are a LOT of problems with the game.

The first and most widespread problem is the desync; we've all been there so don't pretend you haven't, you shoot some guy 10 times in the head/chest area with a high-powered assault rifle and he lives and kills you. This is perhaps a lot more common now because of region switching, causing influx of cheaters from China (Sorry if this offends you, but it's a fact that China is a country full of cheaters). I suggest BSG prioritize this issue above all due to it affecting 100% of the playerbase, and they should also remove region switching.

The second and also pretty big issue is performance. If you are a person who doesn't have a decently beefy rig you will almost most certainly will not be getting 60 FPS even on low settings, which brings me to the next point - if you don't have 16gb DDR4 combined with a beefy processor (I7 7700k, i5 8600k etc) you're more than likely to be experiencing frame drops or stutters (most notably when you shoot somebody or get shot at). These frame drops and stutters are a really terrible thing to experience; I would even go as far as to say its game breaking; (It happens to me a LOT).

The third issue is the new scavs; some people will argue with this and say that I just want the game to be easy because i'm bad, but let me ask those people who say that; does getting 1 tapped by a scav with a saiga at a long distance (100-200m in most cases) when you're fully geared with body armor and a helmet really make the game more hard, or more annoying? Scavs in 0.8 are really overpowered, last patch they could easily kill you if you were playing recklessly, but usually were no real threat to a skilled player who knew how to deal with them, but now due to the change to helmet hitboxes, even if they land a single pellet on your face from that distance you're a dead man. Let's not leave out that they also are somehow able to shoot though thick tree lines and bushes, and I've even heard they sometimes shoot through walls even though I've never had this happen myself.

everyone always has problems with performance, and will continue to until the game goes live, or maybe after open beta comes when all the new people that join freak out about how bad it is, and forces BSG to do something more about it.

my issue with scavs is this. i don't mind them being difficult, but the problem is it almost seems like they're not supposed to be. they're grouped up in groups of between 3-7. i've seen as many as 9 scavs in one location before. in their current state, its basically impossible for you to tackle those 5 or 7 scavs unless you're 300m away.

if scavs are going to be as punishing as they are, they need to reduce their spawns to 1 or 2 with max 3 per area.

the scavs are not the issue. the face hit box is the issue. scavs are easy targets. they die quickly and for the most part unless they catch you off guard you can kill them. being 1 tapped is because the face hitbox is too large. it should take more skill to face shot a player wearing a helmet and kill them. I don't even bother using helmets because they are broken in the current build of the game. the scavs are in a good spot. breaking line of sight is easier than ever. time to break line of sight is faster than its ever been. and they no longer break both your legs from 100 meters out with a single shot. the issue to dying to a scav with 1 shot isn't the scavs its the face hitboxes needing to be reworked again

this is also an issue of the sever tick rates. BF4 took a long ass time to fix this, almost a year and a half after launch. and this was a AAA title with a huge budget and staff behind it. I can forgive BSG for not having the issues completely resolved because it has got better since the last patch and noticeable performance improvements have happened as well. they aren't a huge studio with a massive budget. they are a indie studio and they are making one of the most ambitious games in recent history and doing a pretty good job of it. I can agree with you that the region switching is a issue. A huge issue, playing in this game with it already known issues with netcode and server issues is not fun against a player with a ping of 200+. maybe remove the region selection until some of the performance and desync issues are worked out.

In relation to the AI, they are aimbots, they don't care if you are hidden or shoot first, they 1 tap you whilst looking the other way through armor before you can even pull your trigger.

Scavs have always been meant to be somewhat a danger but mostly just indicating where player movement is, and to add little deterrents at checkpoints and extractions.

I have been prone, and crawled close to a scav and shot them in the head to have them sprint off, hump a wall and instakill me with a shotgun blast. Even in full armor I have been 2 tapped before the game animation has even allowed me to lift my gun up to fire. For the slower pace and slower animations of this game, the lightning fast scav reaction time is far too OP. I like that more show up, but what is the point if they are now to be feared more than other players. It makes more sense to have them as a close range threat and for players with little to no gear to be able to kill and get geared to prevent hatcheters and allow you to get a larger bag or vest mid raid to help out looting. It also is good for players that are not as experienced and it gives them satisfaction of getting kills if they are unable to kill or find players.

i can't upvote anymore today, for whatever retarded reason those are limited, so i have to quote and say i agree with everything this post says. its pretty spot on.

scavs don't need to be walking loot boxes, but right now they're a little too much, especially when they spawn in groups of 3-7. its as though they were testing how boss scavs were to react, and accidentally made all scavs act that way, or something.

Their behavior changes with every patch, and while they are really strong right now, they have been way worse then this. Probably, they will get changed multiple times until, and after launch. It has been said that they will always remain a threat, they where never meant as free loot, or punching bags.

The best advice was already given, engage them at range, and its better to not go alone, as they will happily flank you.
