RAM issue since 0.8

so  since a friend recently bought the game i redownloaded it and started playing yesterday and noticed im constantly at 99% RAM usage on all maps except Factory making the game completely unplayable which is weird since before 0.8 i could play all maps fine with high to max settings and never ran into problems

anyone eelse having similar problems?
