HELP! Gear Fear

i need help getting over gear fear i keep getting scared of even getting a makrov in a raid.Its really bad to the point where i cant even enjoy the game and i only play factory because i dont know the open maps at all i cant find any exits.I need help getting over this fear got any tips?

Find some friends that can play with you.
Just a tip, All your gear that you brought inside Stash is actually considered gone.
Since Wipe comes every month or weeks or rather year.

Find some friends or groups, you can try finding discord servers to group up.
Its all on you.

More people = Less Gear Fear.

Bring along a friend or two or just solo with a low budget loadout until you get over it , you'll get used to losing in no time

get used to scaving and avoiding conflict in general. Very easy to replace gear from a scav run that eventually allows you to see through the gear fear.

 

Ive cleaned out my stash of all weapons and armour a few times.. either a successful hatchet run or a scav run or two fills it back up. You literally need to play gear fear out of you and the more successful scav runs you do the better. Even if its to sell the loot for roubles to buy more loot.

U dun need friends to get over gear fear cos then u get alone fear and can never play alone. Read my beginner guide for this:

In regards to learning any map. I suggest watch a streamer or video on you tube and see how they extract. Sit down for an hour or two with some pop corn and a couple of beers and just watch. Once you see the same extract 2 to three times go into the game and play on single play with scavs off.

 

You will learn quite quickly how to get there and the best and safest ways to do it. In regards to the gear fear. I had it but just accepted that your going to die a lot in this game, as long as you around 400 roubles you don't ever need to worries. Get in to factory as a scav and clean up all the dead bodies at the end of the round to keep your money up.

It's all about replaceability. If you can't replace what you use, you're afraid to use it. Therefore you need to learn how to make money and get yourself a nice surplus of it.

As for the extractions, simply google "Tarkov <map name>", open the Wiki page which should usually be the first result and look at the exits there. I liked to start the game through Steam so I just open the map (there's always a variant with exits marked) in the overlay browser which means I can check it at any time. This way you'll learn the map and its exits reasonably quickly. I don't usually do that anymore because I've learned all the maps reasonably well but that is the way I learned.

Take your gear off in raid.

Press Esc.

Press Leave raid.

 

Gear fear gone.
