Scavs OP!

The scavs can see through bushes. Don't ever try to hide behind bushes when fighting scavs, only ever stay behind solid cover that can stop bullets and then you are good.

They are always working on the scavs, and they are much better now than before. This isn't their final build.

I don't think they are too OP once you know how they work.  I think they should be less accurate, but far more of them.  Like make them 50% less accurate, but DOUBLE the amount of them on the map.

They really screwed the pooch with this last update. Scavs are insane, one-tapping me in the face from 100 yards with a shotgun or on woods being able to shoot through the concrete walls in the bunker. It's always one step forward and two steps back. Hooray you added a new map and more weapons, won't do anyone any good when DESYNC IS STILL EVERYWHERE and scavs can one tap you from a mile away. I can see why they don't have a refund option and I should have taken that as a MASSIVE warning sign.

I was on customs last night just about to cross the wooden bridge next to the real bridge and I suddenly came under fire from a shotgun. It missed. It was followed by a scav yelling at and and several more shots that also all missed all around me. (maybe one pellet hit me). So I hid behind a rock, and the shotgun shooting scav started up again.. I sat there with the bullets hitting the rock and I had no idea where this scav was.. They don't spawn there, I couldn't see him, it must have been a bot because it couldn't see me (I assume) and yet I survived.. I waited for it to pause in shooting (reload?) and ran away.

Fixing bugs doesn't work like "oh look, a bug" *fixed*. It's more like staring at your screen, repeatedly reading your code, explaining it to a rubber duck over and over and over and still wondering why on earth it refuses to do what you want it to do.

Making a good AI is also hard. But I think they've done a good job at that and most of the weirdness and OP-ness is due to glitches that only happen often to some players and almost never to others. I've only seen a juggernaut scav once, some report seeing them game-breakingly often. Some report those 100m shotgun headshots often (where do you even have that long ranges against scavs?) whereas I see scavs being piss poor shots most of the time. If I get wrecked by a scav it's usually because I waited for a more clear shot for too long or because I ran into them without noticing.

To be clear, I don't doubt that for many people the AI is unreasonably difficult and it has little to do with that player's skill.

But making more and more threads on the subject is worthless. Have patience, let the devs sort it out. There are so many threads on this subject that they're bound to be aware of the issue.

If i fight Scavs, they never see me in or behind bushes. You must do something wrong.

If they spotted you before you enter a bush, they usually shoot 1 more bullet and then stop and try to find you or go in cover from your last known position.

Thats how scavs work in my raids on all maps.

TY Wurfy. To all whiners here, this game is beta version. You know that. Stop complaining and start reporting bugs.
If you guys buy a semi-assembled prototype car, would you go for forum to whine about it doesn't have the air conditioning, or you'll suggest creator to add one?

Also for the thread creator, Mr. wxt_gaming, read the forum rules before creating new topic.

they can run down from the street and sit there or shoot from above (bridge-end).

just because they do not spawn directly there dosn't mean that they do not parol around. if people shoot cutom-area they will often face that direction.

I had a lot of problems with scav at the beginning. now I'm nearly not dieing to them at all - not even using helmets or great armor. you have to adapt your playstyle. be more patient and slow

Expanding the random AI scav spawns or patrols would be cool too like they did on shoreline.

Woods, woods is where I'm getting gangbanged by scavs. No other map has this issue with me. But woods will have dozens of scavs spawn and hunt me down with a burning passion and their shotguns wreak havoc on my legs and face from a hundred yards easy.
