hushpuppi3
I don't know where to start. First of all, they somehow know where to shoot to avoid armor. Wearing a full kit? legshot. Decide to go in light and not wear body armor? There goes your stomach. Ok, lets try just a helmet. Instant shotgun headshot from 150 meters. Speaking of headshots, scavs are disgustingly accurate, Especially while moving. You're telling me some scrubby scavenger can move and fire with perfect aim but a trained private military individual can't? Also, Scavs seem to have hawk eyes, as well as eyes in the back of their heads. I'm not advocating for scavs to be completely useless, but I'm getting real tired of getting sniped by a walking scav with a shotgun 150 meters away while behind him leading to an instant death.
AdhesiveTeflon
I've found that they've been very docile lately compared to the wipe and patch right after the wipe.

It seems totally random, in my experience 90% of the time they're supersoldiers, but sometimes you'll be able to walk right by them However in the latest announcement they acknowledge the AI is problematic and they're working on fixes, so this thread no longer serves a purpose :p
MrSolo
Once you learn how they work, and their 'sight range' they become easy to deal with. It is a major pain in the beginning, but once you learn them you will find yourself being able to go in with nothing but a hatchet, kill a scav and then use the scav's weapon to kill all the other scavs. About once a month a new player makes this same post. But it is really a matter of learning how they operate. Once you know that then you will realize they don't need to be made any easier or there will be no challenge at all in the game. Sure even experienced players still get '1 tapped' by scavs every once in a while, but that's how it should be. How boring would this game be if the scavs were so easy that they never killed you and we only had to worry about other players. As for their accuracy, if you sprint in a serpentine pattern they will miss most of their shots. I use it all the time when I try to sneak up on them to hit them but they turn around and see me. Just run away while zig-zagging and they will miss almost all shots.

After all towards the final release, those scavs are ment to be the main danger when we attempt to escape.

I think they should be a little less accurate, but much higher numbers of them. Like double the current amount of scavs, but take away 10% of their accuracy or something. I get as pissed as anyone when I am full of great gear only to round a corner too fast and have a scav drop me. But the way I see it is this : This game gives the best "highs" of playing a FPS, but in order to create those amazing 'highs', it also has to give us horrible 'lows', so that we can truly experience this emotional roller coaster of a game.
S8tanael
I had a fort m4 ak and the 6b43 helmet, and I was running and jumped off stage on factory with full HP then scan with a shotgun 1 shots me in the face midair when he was all the way back toward the back wall toward the containers. And it wasn't my gear, i killed a 2 man squad and lost all of it. 9/10 cheeki 0/10 breeki Edited May 22, 2018 by SraenicX
