Scavs!

Ok. So i want to keep this to a rant-minimum. But it's going to be hard.. 

Scavs:

Terminator scavs - Even scavs without body armor takes 10-15 shots, sometimes a full mag to kill. 

SKS scavs - Hipfires a faceshot on you before you have time to say "hoochimaama!". An SKS scav often means instant death, no matter how much armor you have on you. 

Terminator AND SKS - This is just the purest evil in modern times. 

 

Conclusion: Can we just remove the SKS from scavs hands until atleast the terminator-mode is taken care of? 

 

Weather: 

Tropical rain - I heard somewhere that the weather in game reflects the weather in Russia at that point in time. Wether that is correct or not i do not know. 

However, i am quite sure they don't have tropical rain in Russia every single day all day long. Right?

There is always rain. Wether it is pouring down or drizzling, there is rain. Do you ever have summer in Russia?

And don't even get me started on the sound. I have never heard rain SO loud in my entire life. If you would lower the sound by 75% we might achieve some realism to it. 

 

Fog - I'm sure the coding for this looks something like this. 

if ( rain is FALSE )

         Execute fog;

 

Dancing surroundings: - Even if there is no wind what so ever, EVERYTHING biological on the map is swaying like it's listening to a Bob Marley tune. 

Why are the trees bending, the bushes breakdancing and grass doing the wave if there is absolutely no wind at all?

 

Conclusion: PLEASE add more sunny days. Or atleast not rainy. 

 

 

I hope you enjoyed the read as much as i enjoy playing this game. But it gets extremely frustrating so often because of these issues.

Idk why y’all complain about scavs?

 Point is that scavs are a real threat to your acquisition of stash just like any other PMC. Scavs are NOT meant to be retarded AI’s that you pick off. They are SUPPOSED to be hard and difficult to get past. 

 

 

And even with that said I find scavs weak af if you get them from a good position. They should be more tactical, sneaky and creep around better.

What do you mean it is always raining?  That's not even close to being true.

 

Personally I love when we get those rare torrential downpours, because it makes the game more interesting. Having the same sunny day every time is one thing I always wished other games would change. It's neat having such a variety of weather in Tarkov.

I think you missed the point. Hard AI sure, but impeccable AI is bad AI.

I would trade some rain and fog on vegetative areas for some wind to confuse players a bit by making bushes and trees making sound like someone is walking though them. And wind in urban areas could slam windows making them shatter. Etc.

i couldn't agree more to this. scavs after 0.8 are the most broken ones and i play since the alpha days. right now the most gamebraking issues about scavs are 2 imo :

-they can one shot you from a mile away no matter if you have full armor + helmet, behind cover, scav having a mak or a sks (specially if you ADS on them even from a safe distance they have some sixth sence instantly doing 180 turn and headshot you)

-some of them seems to be immortals! people say that this is caused by desync/lag, others say bullets/hits dont register, others say about a weird glitch when AI's touch barbwire they can obtain supernatural abilities. today i hit one unarmored AI point blank with 8 shots from mp153, he turns around and ofc 1 tap me in the head. thats just one of many examples since 0.8

the current state with the variety of problems (AI, netcode, freezes in gunfights etc) makes it unbearable, im waiting for 0.9 to see what can be solved.

I agree. i like the fact that they are harder now, and more intimidating.

But the point i'm trying to make is that a scav with no body armor should not be able to tank 15 rounds to the chest. Simple as that.

I think that's a desync issue there

Right before I came here I got 1 hit head popped by a scav from the other side of factory with a TOZ.

I had full gear, probs like 350k worth. 

Feel my pain.
