I am going to upgrade from standard

After improving the Early Access edition, a reset of player profile is required for changes to take effect. You can do it in your profile on our website. Doing so will delete the game progress and set the profile to the state of new edition.

 

Reset account , you lost everything , soul included xDD

What Dravar said is correct. The upgrade won't reset it but you will need to do it manually or wait for future global wipes for the changes to take effect. But you can still upgrade and continue as you are for now.
