This is a brief video report about our recent visit to the Central Scientific - Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering, where we have recorded the reference footage and sounds for implementation of their weapons in Escape from Tarkov.

nice!

very interesting.  At this rate I'll learn russian from videos and EFT.

But seriously, your sound technican is going to go deaf. No wonder the nature sounds are all way too loud.

'Central Scientific - Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering' = gun factory ;)

This is not a factory, it's an institute where new weapons are tested, and give them a state assessment.

SR-3 Vikhr <3

Great video!

you mean  SR-3m  :)

SR3 has a top folding stock - and no possibilites for reddot and scope attachements

However - awesome and yes - I personally would love to see an SR3 in the game as well  even if it is an outdated variant (maybe a 9a-91 as well? its cheaper brother :) )

There are 3 variants of SR-3:

SR-3, SR-3M and SR-3MP.

But they all come from SR-3 Vikhr :)

yes and no :sctroll2:

SR-3 has besides kaliber and prelimary design not much in common with modernized SR-3m variant
fireselector switch is totall different (SR3 = crossbar above Trigger, SR-3m - behind trigger switch (like AS-VAL & VSS))
SR-3m has been produced/developed after SOBR and FSB were asking for more mobility and flexibility in terms of modifcation and transport.

SR-3MP is the same as the SR-3m, with difference being an additional 22mm rail below the pistol grip, on which the buttstock can be attached with another adapter (intendet for use with helmets like, ALTYN, K6-63, ZSH 1-2m, RYS-T, etc. helmets with heavy visor so to say)

not being arrogant or "showing off" (maybe a little ^^) , but just to stay on the facts :)

SR-1 pistol and SR-2 "Veresk" (+VSS and AS VAL)  are the other Brainchild of Peter Serdyukov

however to stay on topic:
DEVS are doing a superb job and I once more excited as hell

Can't believe that guy in the video was wearing a communist patch - a regime that killed millions and millions on innocent people, worse than the nazis, and he just portraits that!

Technical question for sound recording :

Why not mount binaural microphone(s) (or just 2 monomics on either side to mix them together for a stereosound) to the shooter so the soundscape is perfectly captured from 1st person view besides the normal micing ?

Stay safe,

record well .

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Great to see you guys on the range to test the guns we'll hopefully see in the game eventually.
