I would like to suggest an addition to weapon jamming: Ambient factors, like dust and water affecting it.

Durability on weapons will be a thing later on.  And on lower durabilities the weapon will jam alot more often.

Not later, they promised for  this year.

Some really nice suggestions there, but gotta admit I dont like the thought of my weapons taking damage if I go too close to a wall or if I go prone, then dust/water will be sucked into the weapon?

I thought that a bullet being fired created air pressure, not vacuum return?

But definetly would like to see weapon durability have an effect at some point, imagine having to unjam during a fire fight. xD As if I wasnt sweating enough already lol

Didn’t read the post, honestly too much hassle when I’m on a phone browser.

If tarkov introduces dust environments then it could wear the gun out quicker and heavy rain may do the same.

Depends what they have in store for the hideout and “cleaning guns” after rounds I guess.

well, since it's 5 months left on this year i'd call that "later on" :)

And if i know this game dev correctly, it will take about a year longer then they announced.

I think  weather effecting a gun's durability is asking a bit much of the engine right now. However more focus on weapon durability and maintaining it would be  interesting.

No it is a simple function to code. Very simple. When a shot is fired, run a trace to the closest walls and floors, then determine the material and feed that into the function that determines if the next shot jams.
