WarWithoutEnd
My first couple of hours I have spent running Woods, and I either get killed by a player camping a loot container, or a Scav shooting through bushes. I'd like to learn to play as a Scav but the 20 minute timer is annoying, and I get one shot as a Scav a lot. Therefore I need to get armor and helmets, in addition to weapons and attachments. I just want a sight for my Vespr, and going through the trader sections looking for a compatible attachment for the Vespr is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I'm also disappointed there is no blood spray on bullet impact to show that I have scored a hit. It just seems like there are 20-30 small annoying things wrong with this game that could easily be fixed. I feel like a stumbling drunk when I move. Crouch walking is way too slow. Obviously the game requires patience, but do you really have to camp the same spot for 20 minutes just to maybe shoot a player in the back? I swear that game developers never get iron sights right, they seem to think that shooters put their cheek as far away from the rear sight as possible. Its the exact reverse. I shoot expert IRL and we always put our cheek as close as possible to the rear sight so that we can see the front sight easier for greater accuracy. I'll keep trying though
SHO-SHIN
Just gotta play mate, over time you will see gradual, better results. Also adjusting your settings, inc audio correctly will help and play real slow - and real fast when needed. EFT is a tough, tough game but very rewarding IMO. It is also full of bugs right now, so try and keep cool and simply enjoy your runs. Map knowledge is critical. more so than any game I ever played. bigbacon
Dont play woods. Play shoreline or interchange. Very big maps, lots to get, easier to avoid confrontation. Go to the wiki and print out maos to help you along. Be slow, very slow at time. Seriously just sit in a bush and hang out for many minutes. Just listen and always try to move from cover to cover. At the start of a map, as pmc, hide and wait. Let the spawns clear out beforing moving. Sounds boring but 3 to 5 minutes goes a long way. I woukd say a lot of deaths happen within the first 2 minutes of spawn. Map knowledge is key. Early on avoid high traffic areas. Lime interchange, stay outside the buildinng. Stay on the map border and do things there. Shoreline avoid the spa in the center. I need to find my old post on how i learned to get by early on. Try going without gear. Fill your pockets and container and try to leave. The iron sights are good except maybe the sks. Yes you often need to sit around for a long time. I have seriously sat in one olace for half an instance before.moving out.Slow play is rewarded most.of the time.
