EFT is in a bad way

Certainly the game has come a long way, and I remember it being way worse regarding optimisation then it is today but I feel like at one point in the distant past it was really good! Before the .8 update i feel like the game was in its prime when it comes to optimisation and the game running properly, but im starting to notice that the game is progressively starting to run worse and worse with each update. Unfortunately ive heard its because the developers are making updates as we are playing which sounds stupid in my opinion. I understand its beta but I rather see updates come in big patches unless its urgent. The game crashes now more than ever in my opinion, and sometimes it blatantly just doesnt work and it makes me laugh because it seems like simple coding errors or my luck has run out. I love the game to death but I dont love what it is currently even though i really want to. I love the old EFT, some days i cant even play this game because it runs so poorly, it frequently locks up and i experience frame drops out the ass at certain times, it doesnt even matter where i am, it doesnt depend on high foliage or graphical overload it sometimes just freezes and tears for no apparent reason. There is not another game i can recall that does this that i own. I have a pretty decent PC to my knowledge as well, specs will be listed below. Honestly i dont care what reason the developers or anyone else has for the game being poo right now, im just trying to find people that agree with me, or disagree but would like to be constructive and help in my effort to create an urgency to better the game so it can get back to the state i enjoyed it most in.

hey man ur not wrong. hopefully they deliver the optimizations promised in next patch. when u compare tarkov to other beta releases like squad the game runs like poo. I would like to point out tho that ur ram is probs not the best which wouldnt help much. im not an expert but i just noticed that u have ddr3 600mhz. alot of comps today have 2000mhz ram, im just speculating but perhaps that could cause more lockups? perhaps wait for next patch due within a few weeks tho as they have promised to work on bugs, fixes and those kinds of issues.

oh and make sure u have latest drivers as that will help alot. I also have a similar rig and find that playing after a fresh system restart helps alot. gl

Sounds about right with the ram.

But it's also the way the game is optimized right now. For some people it works great with lesser rigs while it works poorly on beast rigs.

 

It's impossible to optimize it completely for every hardware out there at once. 

It's getting a lot better in optimizations, but it still has a bit to go. Just hang in there.
