nachtmaere Posted September 3, 2018 Share Posted September 3, 2018 You can pretty visually see there are some desync/lag issues there, on top of that, we can see he's fully geared and we don't know the ammo you're using, if your armour penetration was high enough, chance are your damage was low, coupled with desync means you probably didn't do much damage to him, and if your armour penetration was low, I mean that needs no explaining. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That being said, I wonder how well you would have fared if instead of trying to spray and pray at that distance, you'd taken the time for 1, or 2, good headshots? Many times I've had this issue even with an sks. Dunno if it is a 7.62 issue or just a broken game but it needs to change and fast or people will start to move on from EFT. If .10 does not fix this among some other issues I see a very low player base coming EFT's way. For me it has just felt like every patch maybe fixes one or two things and breaks 3-5 more. Because AP equals no damage, and high damage equals no AP. So basically just put gen 4 armor and fast with face shield on and become freaking Iron Man and destroy all. Thats some sound advice you got there, it's nice that Tarkov decided to add the Iron Man armor to the game and completely jack things up for everyone. It's also nice to see @nachtmaere on forums completely fan boying and dismissing every OP that goes against the company line. Maybe come up for air every once in awhile. This is not about armour making you untouchable, it's about being aware that desync causes you to APPEAR as though you are hitting more than you are, and understanding that there is a trade-off in regards to AP vs HP, if you choose armour pen, you must understand that the damage to health is lower but your overall damage to health when hitting armoured parts will be higher than hitting armour with HP rounds, obviously. These are all factors to consider, that is why i stated them so the OP and others can re-examine the video/situation with the information they need to form an informed opinion. It is never just as simple as, "I shoot, he no die, fix plz" And might i add, too many people come here with pockets full of salt and emotions and forget game mechanics and logic, when something goes wrong people look for something or someone to blame, if you get the impression that i dismiss many of these types of posts, it is because the people posting these get forgetful, i'm not saying this particular poster is salty or full of emotions, i'm saying that people forget that desync is a thing, people forget that AP ammo doesn't mean anti-material kill a building ammo, it just means those bullets will (Given enough penetration) get through armour to actually damage the squishy person underneath, and it is important to remind them that although everything feels terrible and unfair and broken, a lot of the time there really is a logical reason for what happened to them, desync won't always be an issue to contend with mind you, but at this moment it is a fact of life that bears remembering.
