Hitbox issue or super pathetic firefight?

For the first 35 seconds, this guy and I are literally just trading shots but it didn't seem like anyone was landing any actual hits. Is there an issue with hit registration? Or is this just the most pathetic firefight ever?

At 1:37, watch this scav take multiple bullets right in the face. IN. THE. FACE. What is going on here?!

Are you using PRS rounds, by any chance?
Because that's the reason why I don't use 5.45-chambered weapons anymore.

I used to have a batch of AK74Us but after having multiple encounters with me dumping a mag on a guy without any noticeable effect, I just sold them and started stacking VEPRs instead.

7.62 PS rounds work like a charm.

Seems like those first 2 mags didn't even register.. And as Janos1986 described, I stay away from the 5.45 as well. Too many times have I exchanged fire with people only to seemingly spread the damage all over their body and die myself. 

You should have got those both of those kills, in the window, and DEFINITELY outside the window.

Correct. This was recorded last night.

I only use PS rounds with 5.45. But I agree with your sentiment towards 5.45-chambered weapons. Too many bad experiences with them and now I'm really leaning towards 7.62 only. So much more effective.

THE 74U is a mess i think. full auto at point blank it misses like a boss but you can single shot head people at like 75 yards no problem.....

74U has got way to much recoil period for my taste. Go try yourself a 5.45 AK-74M or AK-105 and kit it our real nice, use PS or AP rounds and you'll start lovin em again

I don't think 5.45 PS rounds are considered good.  Stats wise, they're only slightly better than PRS.  Does that mean you're not a high enough level to use BS / BT?   A lot of players believe that 5.45 isn't worth using at all until you start getting BS rounds, but BT rounds aren't awful.  TBH, I find a lot of BS/BT rounds either during interchange runs, or from Fence.  They'll pop up every now during the hourly refresh.  Expensive (10k for 30 BS, 6k for 30 BT) but if they allow you to kill your opponent before he kills you, they're worth every rubel!

BSG may have changed how the hourly refresh works for Fence.  I have a habit of refreshing fence while I'm watching a show on the other screen to get trade items / ammo, so I've still managed to nab a few boxes of BS after the .10 patch.

Everytime I hear a silenced 5.45 weapon all I think is "oooo im coming for you because I know you can't kill me before you reload."
