Explain This to Me?

Before the patch- I could not load Shoreline or Interchange - they would both hang up at 100% map loading and freeze.

Customs and Factory worked no problem.

After the patch - I cannot load Factory or Customs - they both hang up at 100% map loading and freeze.

Shoreline and Interchange now work without a problem.

Wat?

Most of this stuff is still a mystery, my game was running fine, suddenly I'd crash 2 minutes into a game every raid, reinstalled, set game to borderless window, set both the launcher & the game .exe to run in admin mode, installed newest gpu drivers, problem went away.

One of my friends had the same issue, took thesame steps, didn't fix the issue, his game still crashes, when he does crash, he's making a "walking movement" while actually being offline and he's immortal until he's logged back in. We've learned to work around his crashing by hiding in a bush next to his immortal zombie body and using him as bait.

It's early access, all you can do is the above steps + bug report, we all go through it.

Welcome to tarkov. What you actually thought you would get a game where patches work. Oh my sweet child, this is the company that back 0.8, released a stability hotfix that crashed everyone's game, so released a hotfix which kicked everyone for anticheat connection lost, so released a hotfix to crash everyone's game when they died before releasing a hotfix to get it back to where it was prior to the hotfixes. P.S., this was over the span of 1 day.

Also the latest 0.10 "hotfix" prevented anyone from loading into a raid. Because why test a game on more than 1 PC when you have an army of people screaming "It's beta, how dare you expect them to do atleast 10 mins of testing before pushing a patch".

Try this, go into an offline in customs (if you can load in) and have PVE on. Extract and see if it works. Or reinstall or run as admin. If you reinstall change the path it saves in. Try not make it go through 19 different folders.

You can attempt to debug it yourself by going to: C:\Users\"your username for your pc here"\AppData\Local\Battlestate Games\BsgLauncher\Logs

Check what it is failing to load when it crashes and try fix it from there. If you reinstall your game delete this whole folder from "battlestate games" so you remove anything cached.

Thanks guys - I have tried reinstalling and it seems factory works some of the time but Customs is a total no-go. Just super weird because it was basically the only one i could run guaranteed before and now it's the only one i can't.

I will try deleting the entire folder next and see if that makes a difference.

No luck. I can scav factory - but the game will crash if I try to PMC factory or customs. Which is weird - because the two smallest maps won't run - but the two largest maps play totally smooth for me now. Tarkov...
