So many trades

After the last patch it's become ridiculous how often firefights end in trades. Probably a good third or at least a quarter of them end up that way. Obviously this points to some kind of problem. I guess what I'm asking is whether anyone else is having this issue or is it just on my end? I'm sort of desperate here because I'm losing crazy amounts of good loot to it.

Could be an issue with damage not being calculated properly. I've had fights where I have randomly died 10 minutes later into the raid when I'm not bleeding, to the player I previously killed.

They talked about this, that one of the main reasons is that your bullet is not fired immediately when you pull the trigger. It works like a real gun that internally pieces move, the bullet is then ignited in the casing and shot out of the barrel.

I think they said network improvements will help reduce how much this causes trades, but this was from the stream a week ago.

That... is actually a really cool and unexpected reason to have trades. Maybe they should add really cheap open bolt SMGs like PPS and Sten with which it would matter a lot more.

But yes, they should reduce it a bit.

its fine cuz Your bullets still can hurt someone after Your dead, they just still flying

That would be an extremely rare occasion. At a distance of 10m (a normal range at which this happens often) the flight time of a bullet fired from something chambered in 7.62×39mm would be ~0.014s. With a RoF of 600RPM you fire one shot every 0.1s. That means the odds of a shot being fired within that 0.014s is 14%. Higher than I expected but a lot less than required to explain the ridiculous number of trades we're getting. Of course, the odds double at double the distance but how often does it happen that this one last bullet is all you were short of killing him?

I find the other explanation more likely.
