Next wipe?

Anyone know when the next wipe is? Not trying to be a Debbie downer but I've been trying for a few weeks now and I can't compete with these guys and only playing the game for about a month and a half makes it that much harder. I love it so far though. Just REALLY needs to be optimized better. But anyways, anybody have an idea or estimate of when the next wipe is? Please and Thanks!

soon... maybe in 2 weeks shouldnt take longer than 3 weeks

it comes when it comes for now you best bet is just to get out there and try and learn from your deaths turn it into a game of hide and breki  

 

Learn the maps and the loot spawns lots of people blindly rush the good loot or the nearest scav group and then hammer down to the main exit and do this raid in raid out if you work out where they are gonna likely be you can wait for them and try ambushing or avoid them and hang around the edges getting the not so good loot it's not great but constancy in coming back from raids even with a little bit of not so good loot is better than getting the best stuff ever and dying every time. (aside from the 4-9 squares in your pouch you can keep that but is a slow as hell way and not to mention costly in terms of losing guns and gear.)

In my opinion - dealing with High-Gear players with low-gear has never been as easy as now with the Mosin. But as other say... Learn from your deaths. Always assume there's another guy somewhere after you killed something (especially when he had gear). Looting early often means not finish looting at all. And after the wipe... Try to get the Punisher Quest Line done with Prapor. That will provide you with the very important ammo-types that will make it a lot easier to take down the most geared enemies (even with cheap SKS rounds).

Those were just a few tips I can give you. However... Regarding the wipe - I must say that I am a little disappointed that its still "2-3 weeks". When I believe it was 2-3 weeks around 2-3 weeks ago. That wouldn't be so bad if that wipe would not have been introduces so early. Its really hard for me to find motiviation to play now and progress... To find keys I dont have yet or do missions. Sorry but I gotta be honest: Announcing a wipe and then having it take months for it to come is in my opinion absolutely horrible.

Uh... well his response of two to three weeks was given on Oct 6th.

It is the 25th, and it has been suggested by TheWay that incoming patch 10.5 is nearing completion and we will get a wipe soon. 

Since the recent announced date for 10.5 was around the end of the month, this looks  like it is going to be close to those more recent announcements, following up on the fairly accurate release date for 10.2.

This is an old thread that smokey-phil posted on weeks after it was dead to PURPOSEFULLY mislead you...  BAD smokey...  LMAO

Just joking... Sometimes things are misleading because... they just happen that way.  Wipe is 'SOON', but... hell, it actually couuld be.  ~Al

This is a perfect time to learn how to use the SKS 

I'd use the lead up to the wipe to get used to it.As cool as the Mosin is, I'd still rather have an SKS. In my opinion it is the best budget gun and will see you through pretty much everything including high speed gear play (now that it can get crazy mods)

I hardly played this patch so im also waiting for the wipe, being a lvl 4 getting wiped out by full geared people gets annoying when they can take a lot of shots and even if you get gifted the same armor you still get one tapped. So Im waiting

 

Also have played the game for over a year

Happens a lot to kill fully geared players by scav and extract with fastmt gen4 etc. lvl is not always the win-factor.
